I'm not really sure what the competition is.....

Is it like, the person who takes the least amount of damage against the CPU wins?

Ok.

It's a 5 stock 5 min match (yes I changed it, and this actually counts as 2:30 real time) with LV9 Luigi on lightning mode (or fast, w/e it's called).
Whoever beats Luigi the FASTEST will win.
In the event that nobody beats him, whoever weakened him the most (his stocks and %) will win.
If the game times out, sudden death is ignored, and Luigi's stock and % is counted as if you lost.

So basically, whoever beats him the fastest; or in the event we all fail, whoever takes off the most stocks (+%).

The stage will be announced on the day, and I've already tested obvious tactics like some of MK's questionable stuff and the stage does a good job of preventing camping, not that I'll care anyway, since the entire goal is to do whatever it takes to win, which involves dealing damage to him quickly.

Only thing that is banned is MK's infinite cape.

Oh and I can't win, obviously.

Welllll that's stupid, in that case, 3 minutes (or 2:30 if you can actually set anything besides minutes).

This challenge is intended to be stupid anyway.
Also, Melee singles needs to be run as soon as Brawl has reached losers semi's, and you need to get sign ups and crap for that.

I'll bring my laptop with Tio on it because I detest the Valhalla one, although it may still be used for original sign ups.

Luigi would probably tech the cargo stage spike and then sweet-spot Up B you when you try and recover.

If it is Bridge of Eldin I'll camp by flying over the top until the bridge gets destroyed, then I'll camp the ledge.

If it Shadow Moses Island, I'll destroy the walls as Dedede and shield grab > back throw at the walk-off.

If it is Yoshi's Island (Melee) then I'll camp the ledge.

It's a low tier tournament with no prize, the extra stages are just for the lols, if you don't like it, don't enter.

Because the NTSC and PAL one are effectively the same for the low tiers and the NTSC one is more recent and accurate.

I knew it wasn't since I took it off a while ago, as says the edit history: Japes removed Nova 03-07-2011 08:21 PM.

Anyway, this mid/low tier w/e it is, I don't care how it works, but you might wanna make sure Melee actually starts and finishes this time before trying something that won't get many numbers.

NTSC and PAL have like no changes below the top tiers.
Bowser can't flame cancel, him and Kirby are heavier and Link's up-b doesn't semi-spike.
Basically the only meaningful differences and none of them move out of low tier because of it.
