SA Reloaded: Do you want doubles to have a pot?

Nova said to me to post this poll to get some interest for doubles.

Basically, the fee for Reloaded is $30 flat, this covers all singles events. Nova wants to add a little bit extra in to cover for doubles, because the main pot is going (from the ticket prizing) for singles. So, Singles for both games is covered by the venue fee. But doubles isn't.

He's given me 3 options that he wants me to post, so yeah it just depends on what people want. ALL the money collected will go STRAIGHT back into the 1st, 2nd and 3rd. Probably like like 70/20/10. Brawl and Melee doubles, per player, can either be $10 (high pot), $5(meh pot) or nothing = absolutely no pot.

Votes from random people who aren't going won't count either. But just remember that if there is to to a pot for doubles, it requires more than the $30 fee which covers all the console games (including the smash singles, they're still part of it and their pots are still massive).

Also I accidentally made an error in the pool. This money is Per person, so which means either having $20 per team, $10 per team or free entry.

Doubles is definitely going to need a pot.
Singles is definitely always the bigger event but teams goes in hand with it, and many people are more dedicated in teams.

I understand that it is not considered a major event by Reloaded; but it deserves a pot and if that's possible I favour that.

Nova has the authority to charge $20 for every event lol, Wookie already has said "it's your tourney" to him, so it's likely going to be $5 for doubles. Socials, couldn't care less, they don't get the pot anyway.

I don't even see the point of having a pot if it's not going to be reasonable, which it won't be with $5 entry :/

I support the $5 per person entry for doubles each game. If this goes ahead then entry into doubles shouldn't be compulsory and we'll withdraw doubles registry from the door ticket.

While we're on that note, us smash admins will have a system of registration for the smash competitions separate from the Reloaded LAN network. Once you pay at the door, you will then need to come to Nova or myself and register your name, which will be entered into both melee and brawl singles, and doubles as well if you wish.

I actually want $10 to boost more effort with people, but all the people who dont want to try will whine and not want it. But this is a major, so having a bigger pot seems fair.

There should be a pot and there shouldnt be an extra fee for doubles. It should be taken from the singles. Its ******** to have a big pot for singles and none for double unless people pay extra.

Btw I will be entering and I WONT BE PAYING EXTRA.

I would perfer more money to go into the entry fee, but I guess people wouldn't be willing to pay. It's just a major that's all. Should cost more than a monthly. That's just my opinion though.

It already costs more than 3 times than our monthly. There not different events there Smash tournaments on Reloadeds smash saturday, different tourneys yes, events no.
Doubles should have been considered in the early going but as usual most the discussion never gets to me and inexperienced people make bad decisions.

Having to pay extra just means no one but the few teams that could win will enter.

i dont mind paying to enter an event that i will enjoy; nothing in life is really free anyway.

Its his decision on all the money he is putting into it I agree with that but the original $800 that Wookie put up some of it should be used for doubles. Its what we did last year with only $500.

As long as Wookie agree's all is good, was worried that these things hadnt been discussed with him.
