(Rumor) Brawl Release Date in Japan Confirmed Along With Online

I don't care if Japan gets it earlier. We got the Wii earlier, they can reveal some of the stuff I want to know. It only makes me more anticipated toward the game when I know what I can get. I don't like story spoilers if its an RPG game though, good thing this isn't!

And online? Wootsauce! That is going to be **** awesome. Not I just want to know how everything online will work.

The same week brawl is released in japan, we're gonna get the complete roster, secrets, etc. all over the internet.

All the secret characters will be unlocked, and they will be revealed before we buy brawl, so trying to avoid spoilers is pointless.

Anyone from an NTSC territory that complains about having to wait for the game NEEDS to go to a PAL country.

I don't know about anywhere else, but here in the UK we've only JUST got hold of Trauma Centre (wait, wasn't that a US launch game? OH SHI-), and Super Paper Mario is still 33 days away. /rant

Moving on, the news at least is good; online confirmed. It only remains to be seen how they handle it; I would have liked some more details on the workings of the online mode. I'm not averse to the friendcode system, regardless of how inferior it is to other online matching systems, but given how Nintendo have handled Strikers, I think some people (particularly the competitive scene) are going to be disappointed with ranked play.

My Hypothesis is that Nintendo will let the competitive community fend for themselves, as they're more likely to come together as a group (here, for example) and share friendcodes between themselves for customisable options in games.

I cannot believe that spoiler-avoiding members are even posting in here. These are the same forums where people are trying to analyze images to death in hopes of finding proof of Sonic's inclusion. I will have no sympathy for you if anything is spoiled. If the entire roster were posted somewhere, I would most definitely read over it and memorize it. I have zero interest in the surprise factor. The DOJO gives me plenty of that. And I will shoot the next person who compares Brawl spoilers to storybook spoilers. In Brawl, there is a one-time thrill of wondering who the heck a new challenger is, but the game lives on for years. In a story, the surprise can only be experienced once; from then on, there is nothing left because it is a story!

Geez, I want all the good info prematurely. I want to know every single character that's going to be in and respective move set. I don't care much for the items/stages because those don't have the "wow" factor to them (most of them anyway).

I don't really care about a ranking system as I'll be playing mostly with friends and if the ranking system is anything like Mario Strikers' that'll suck. A top ranking guy playing against a guy that has a 1:3 ratio? Very fun playing against someone that doesn't even offer a challenge.
