You are one of those anti-spoiler people, aren't you?Haha. You should only tell the people who want to be told, mod. Don't ruin EVERYONE'S lives. lol.
No, your right. How do they do it? Just get an advanced copy.I've seen some guides that have come out a month prior to the release date of their actual respective games, if that's what you're getting at.
Is that what you're trying to say? Because if not, then I apologize man.
Exactly my point. The most I would tolerate from an anti-spoiler bureaucracy is a separate forum for spoiler material. Naturally, I would dwell in the spoiler forum away from the anti-spoiler folks.Still, it's funny that people come to this board don't want the characters spoiled for them.
yeah but i'm betting almost everyon on the site here besides smash lords and mods are going to be waiting and don't want the surprise ruined. and i can't believe that you're that obssessed with getting to know everythin right away. that ruins the fun. i laugh at you for being such of a loser that you want to try and own everyone before it comes out. you win some you lose some.Well, while all you people afraid of getting spoiled aren't going online for Brawl or on your computer, I'll be pwning noobs online and reading up on all the new advanced techs people have already discovered.
I'll read up on how to unlock everyone so I can get right to playing with who I like best against all my friends in non-online AND online.
To me, the shock of finding out what character is in the game isn't worth missing out on all those benefits.
You are clearly not a competitive smasher. Contrary to what you believe, many people do want the "surprise" ruined. We who compete have minimal interest in unlocking the hidden content. People like you who think learning everything about the game (including its hidden characters/stages) ruins the fun obviously play for very different reasons than we do.yeah but i'm betting almost everyon on the site here besides smash lords and mods are going to be waiting and don't want the surprise ruined. and i can't believe that you're that obssessed with getting to know everythin right away. that ruins the fun. i laugh at you for being such of a loser that you want to try and own everyone before it comes out. you win some you lose some.
alright i respect your opinion. i ususally start playing intensely ater i've done everything but i just like to feel that "few seconds" rush. You are clearly not a competitive smasher. When I first purchased Melee, I also bought the player's guide to go with it. This was a violation of my "never use a guide on the first time through" rule, but I made the exception because Melee was a fighter game I wanted to gain skill in very quickly. Brawl will be the same way. I am buying it to experience the thrills of competing with other people. That is where my fun comes from. The thrill of unlocking characters and stages lasts a few seconds.
Fair enough. Just don't be upset when those surprises are ruined for you because you visited Smash World Forums. I'll be blatantly honest with you: if I discover the complete character roster from a reliable source, I will most definitely post it here in the forums. I would at least do the courtesy of making the thread title extremely clear (and not putting any character names in the title as well), but if you like surprises, these forums are not where you want to be. Trust me.i just like to feel that "few seconds" rush.
Hi. I'm European. I'd be happy if I got Brawl before February, at the earliest. I have to admit that, despite myself, I do feel a bit of sadistic pleasure in thinking you Americans are going to suffer a bit of what we suffer with every single game, but I think I have it controlled . But believe me, you'll live. At least it's only two weeks, not four whole months or more. Its just jealousy, they get to play it 2 weeks before we get it. They will spoil everything for us.
It will make the last few weeks for the game to release that much unbearable.
Actually...it's more than just the magazine saying it. Japanese retailers are also listing the game to have Wi-Fi and to come out November 22nd. Retailers can be taken as the truth for release dates, so if that's the case, then Online can be taken as true as well. Also, you have to remember, Melee released on November 21st, so this release date for Brawl for Japan makes TOTAL sense.Getting back on topic, I'm gonna go ahead and say that this story is a fake... I haven't seen a single word of real confirmation besides the original Korean source about three links deep in the OP. I'll believe this when I see the scans.
It didn't. The magazine is reliable, the claim that the magazine actually said it is not.if it came from a source that has been known to be very reliable, then i believe it to be true. i mean something like this should pop up this week on smashbros
It makes so much sense that it sure makes for a convincing rumor, huh? The Japanese retailer story links to a German site that also doesn't provide a source. I haven't seen anything on either story that's actually in Japanese. Like I said, I'll believe it when I see some actual evidence. Don't believe everything you read on the internet.Actually...it's more than just the magazine saying it. Japanese retailers are also listing the game to have Wi-Fi and to come out November 22nd. It's just like our release date, Melee came out on Dec. 3rd and Brawl follows that same date. I'd take this as more truthful than a bunch of lies just because there's no scans of the mag yet. There's two sources as well, so there's more towards it than against it.
Yeah, same here. Even if I see all the characters I sure as hell am going to try to avoid looking at he ways to obtain them. I want to pulverize every single-player mode looking for characters, and try to second-guess where they have hidden a particular one, and all that. It's really fun, and it still gives you a nice rush when you finally get that "Challenger Approaching!" screen .Me too colbusman. I want to know who is in the game. What's fun for me is finding out how to get them. That's one of the first things i'll do. I'll beat classic, SE, and whatever else they have with every character on every difficulity level. But it's always cool to hear that siren thing and see that silouhette of what you think is the character you've been waiting for forever. But whatever.
The wii is not region free, a friend of mine found that out after a return to Japan he he he. You can get them modded but it isn't cheap, i would just wait i'm in the same boat as you.i think its good that the japanese get to play it first, it wouldnt seem right if it wasnt. but what im interested in is the australian release date.
and would a game from overseas be likely to work on our wiis? i know that for melee, there were a few bugs figured out after it's american release.
so, does anyone if it would work, or if there are any differences in the consoles?
So that means that when I get my Wii, I can play against anyone around the world? SSBB worldwide FTW!The wii is not region free, a friend of mine found that out after a return to Japan he he he. You can get them modded but it isn't cheap, i would just wait i'm in the same boat as you.
Ypu have to get it modded to play the Japanese or NTSC version of the game, we don't know if you can play others around the world yet but my guess would be yes.I have to get my Wii modded to play around the world? If that's the case, forget it. I'm not going to mod anything at all. Besides, I have this thing against modding.
Its Japan.Sorry if there is a thread like this already, i didn't see one so i made one.
As of recent Brawl has been confirmed by Coro Coro Japanese magazine and Japanese retailers that Brawl would release on the 22nd of November in Japan and would support an online wifi battle mode. Coro Coro is a very reliable magazine and Japanese retailers are for the most part regarding information right on the money.
So do you guys believe it? If this is indeed true i am going to be mad at Japan that they get Brawl sooner
