She's like Ike; high damage output, has a really good jab (5A), good at low levels of play, but kind of crappy at high levels.
Not that she isn't viable or anything.

The weather affects the game mechanics in various ways.
The game alternates between a period of clear weather (no special effects) and a period of weather. The upcoming weather is chosen during the clear period and can be changed when it's being chosen by knocking down or wallslamming the opponent.
It's important to try to force a weather that favors your character.

For example, Typhoon gives both characters super armor and removes the ability to block. BSL's character (Utsuho) thrives in Typhoon because of her high damage output and high hitlag on some of her projectiles while my character (Aya) is the worst character in the game in Typhoon because she is pretty much the opposite.
Normally Utsuho is manageable, but if Typhoon hits when an Aya is fighting Utsuho, the Aya has to run for her life.

Ship series? What do you mean?

The one with the lasers and ridiculous amounts of bullets. I thought that was the origin of touhou.

And the wheater mechanic sounds very interesting. I hope it's not broken lol.

Ohhh. Yeah, almost all of them are from the shooters.
Only Tenshi, Iku, and Suika were introduced in the fighters.
Never heard anyone refer to them as ships.

Weather mechanic isn't really broken.
Typhoon is the most extreme weather IMO and you can avoid getting it by forcing weather

I figured mine was bad b/c there was no combos and no foreign names.

I believe "Bullet-Hell" is the term for the other Touhou games.

It is an add-on for SWR. It can be played standalone, but if you have SWR installed and linked properly, it gives you acces to more characters.



Make sure to text all of your friends while you're high on painkillers. It's hilarious.

Do not challenge Up Smash if you're coming back to the stage.

 

[Sky Pirate]

- Use Dthrow to Fair instead of Dthrow to Usmash when comboing. His nair is fast and goes through Usmash.

- He can't really camp you effectively, so he kind of has to be aggro.

- Pivot grab covers a lot of his landing options, as well as most of his grounded approach options. Just watch for his aerial Egg Lay.

- If he's doing that Egg Toss ledge plank thing, just space Fsmashes to hit the eggs and wait for him to try something. He can only throw 5 eggs before he doesn't get enough of a boost to continue.

- If he goes for a nair on your shield and you have a blue or purple up next (and you're fairly certain that it isn't near death), Usmash OoS as soon as you feel it on your shield. His nair lasts long enough to easily rocket.

I'm forgetting a lot, but it has been a while.
