Nobody is replacing anybody. Sakurai will plan to have both Pokemon from the start. People only don't make it because of time constraints.
Yes, planned characters will be cut due to time constraints, but how do they decide which planned characters to cut?
By the way, don't act like you are Sakurai (as you alluded to later in this post) and define the process on his behalf.
And let me get this straight. You're suggesting that an already cut Pokemon, would replace a very well received Pokemon/Veteran (and don't act like it's not, because almost everyone I know is a fan of this inclusion).
It's your anecdotal evidence against mine as to how he was recieved. Lol.
And yes, I'm expecting a more-popular veteran to replace another veteran.
Let's not forget that we wouldn't have any playable Pokemon outside Gen 1 even though people like to act like they are Sakurai and say that doesn't matter.
I'm also expecting a multi-generaiton Pokemon Trainer, if that helps at all. Lol.
Cutting any Pokemon would be making the same mistake as Brawl. Cut somebody from another franchise.
Cutting anyone from Fire Emblem would be making the same mistake as Brawl. Cut somebody from another franchise.
That sounds more like an "I like Pokemon" bias than an argument.
------
There are human beings viewing this thread RIGHT NOW that have not experienced Sonic being confirmed for Brawl back in 2007.
I was majorly upset when he was revealed. Lol. I was also pretty upset to see Megaman to be honest. I only wanted Nintendo characters.

Yes.
