Uh okay.
I think Palutena is unique enough of a character to warrant a spot on the roster. I've always had doubts that her tide of popularity may have come too late, since Uprising just came out when development started. Though if she gets in, Medusa could follow behind as a semi-clone late in development.
I wish I knew a bit more about Palutena, but I can say this. I used to prefer Medusa. Now, however, Palutena has grown on me quite a bit.
Using her divine powers, and more elements from Kid Icarus is always welcome. :D
I think he was the first Nintendo character to be given a name. (Jack)
Well, another lesser-known retro character I'd like to see in Smash is Mike Jones.

Finally!
I've been thinking of TWO ways Mike could be incorporated.
The HARD and detailed way.
And the EASY and low-prio way.
The HARD way would be essentially filling his movesets with all sorts of items from his games.

This would make him a really varied fighter.
His moveset gimmick would be that he fights with sports artifacts, ancient weapons, and alien weapons.
The EASY way would be... just give him a Yoyo attack for most of his normal and aerial moves.
(Not the same as Ness. Mike uses a Yoyo like a "baseball boomerang". He pitches it, and it returns to his hand. Ness is about swinging it around).
Then make his Smash Attacks be the Main weapons from Zoda's Revenge (Axe, Katana, and Dagger).
And his specials would be different projectiles (since he IS a projectile master... AKA ace pitcher)
Then there's his UNIQUE gimmick. What does he DO that other characters don't?
Well, I think it would truly fit him that a HEALTH-POWER system oughta do the trick.
The healthier he is, the longer his projectiles could reach.
The more damaged he is, the more useless his projectiles would become.
(I had it defined a lot more than this... but this is a very vague summary that's easier to understand without going deep into a game that 99% people here haven't played)
