Eevee is not promoted much in the anime. The only reason Eevee seems as such is because just recently, we had a minor anime character with a whole set of Eeveelutions win the Unova League (without even battling Ash), and another set in the Pikachu short prior to the Mewtwo/Genesect movie. Both times however, focus was on the evolutions than Eevee itself (especially in the short; the new Sylveon took center spotlight there).
I just think she's more deserving and relevant. She could easily take up JigglyPuff's Sleep & Punch moves as well as add some of her own. Maybe even use evolution stones as a final smash to change the element of her attack outcomes. She's not like my new thing, it's more of my Newcomer predictions.
I think if Meowth was in SSB, nobody would care unless it's the same one from Team Rocket. I don't think Sakurai is going to pull characters from the actual Anime.
We need to take into consideration more thing besides just the Anime. I didn't add Genesect just because he appeared in a movie.
People love Miis. Also I thought Villager was incredibly lame before the memes. Mii has too much move set potential to be left out and it's iconic to Nintendo. It just makes sense.

Sebz basically explained why he's popular to Pokemon fans. And Genesect seems to be the best newcomer. regardless of which Mewtwo is the Mewtwo in the movie.
I think 2 Pkmn Trainer is likely, however having 2 of the same types is not much variety and it would take a lot of time.
Blue would use 3 of his pokemon from the games.

That didn't explain anything. He doesn't posses any deserving or popular Pokemon. And if your suggesting Eevee, she should be her own character. And you need to have one form or all.
But, none of those pokemon are popular or deserving enough to be playable and they are completely random. You could pick a better trainer than that.
Wuhu Island is going to be stage no doubt about it.
Blue is iconic therefore his pokemon just get a free pass just like reds did, charizard is really the only extremely popular one out of the three.

lol. Yeah, it doesn't work like that. plus Squirtle & Bulbasaur were somewhat popular and Charizard was the most popular. And you suggested no characters popular enough.Sakurai didn't add Pokemon Trainer for the Trainer itself.
Ivysaur has very little popularity as a pokemon...

Off topic, but here's a basic idea for a Startropics stage:
It's the coolest looking out of the three in the Bulba line in my opinion, although Bulbasaur comes close sometimes.
Evil? While yes, Genesect was modified by Team Plasma, they never really used it for anything. The only antagonistic role a Genesect has ever had was in the movie.
Only thing I see other than the movie that warrants any real reason.

He's being promoted heavily in Japan because of the movie.
They didn't really skip Gen 3 though. We had tons of Gen 3 Pokeball Pokemon and Rayquaza as a boss. It's just very likely that the same could happen to Gen 5.
Which is because of the movie, right?

I'm suggesting Miis are suddenly more probable, they were featured in the last Pilotwings game. But a Pilotwings specific character? Doubt it, I think it could probably be the Wii U equivalent of the 3DS's Nintendogs stage.
