I am thrilled by the overall enthusiasm about that petition, but let's be rational; when has a petition ever meant anything to Nintendo? Not saying we shouldn't support, but we should not actually expect it to work.

Unless Sakurai decides to care enough to pull a Sonic and add Reggie late in development. (Which might shave off some of the decided low-priority characters)

Yoshi isn't gonna get a rep because a new game came out (which by the way is barely anything more than a remake.

That essentially means you are suggesting it to be a remake.

Let's see Yoshi's New Island has stuff that's giant and a cutscene of Kamek with a Hammer. If you can name something else in the trailer that wasn't from Yoshi's Island on SNES I'd like to hear it. Oh, wait no I wouldn't because this is the roster prediction thread not the E3 Reaction Thread.

That doesn't mean that we haven't been shown anything else that's new you know. Most games don't tend to give us the entire story and all of the battles and cutscenes (Look at Kid Icarus: Uprising for example, we all thought they were showing the entire game when we saw the Medusa battle parts of the videos, but there were still 16 more chapters in the game weren't even advertised until after the game was released).

I'm not expecting it to do anything either. I just thought it was hilarious and thought others may too. Nothing like a good chuckle to help cool down those heated arguments!

Bowser often becomes Dry Bowser during fights, so I suggested it's quite possible there may be some sort of mechanic where Bowser can become Dry Bowser either through fighting or something else.

I didn't even know Dry Bowser existed til Mario Kart Wii honestly. Plus he's only appeared in 3 non-spin-off games, so I wouldn't say he often becomes Dry Bowser duing fights -_-

It's stupid to have him as anything but an alternate costume, and even then, it's not something that's even needed or warranted.

You might as well lump in "Playing as Yoshi and shooting eggs" into that awful assumption that it's exactly like Yoshi's Island SNES. I wouldn't mind at all if you'd just admit you don't like the idea in your opinion rather than trying to assert your dominance over the Internet.

AEM already summed up everything else. Assuming something that hasn't been released merits nothing more than the "remake" title is the only problem I have (aside from your attitude on the matter). By all means, I agree that a series having a new game around the time of Smash's development does not warrant a new character from said game (much less from "unrepresented" series, just to boost up their total number).
I just happen to actually like/support Kamek.

C'mon, let's be realistic. There's no way in hell the Wii U could appropriately handle the sheer amount of gloriousness that Reggie emanates. It would require another disk layer just to handle his handsomeness.

I don't believe I ever said I was better than you, that you're dumb for having Kamek, that I'm dominant, that Yoshi's New Island is EXACTLY like the SNES one, or that the Yoshi's series isn't important. If you have a quote of me saying these things please post it, otherwise your jumping to conclusions and get worked up about nothing. And my point is that having a recent installment does not warrant a new slot for a character, where as that was the reason you posted for having Kamek.

I'm not saying Yoshi doesn't deserve representation, I'm saying it really doesn't need more characters. Yoshi is fine on his own, and there aren't really any characters from Yoshi that should be playable. There isn't a lot to pick from. Kamek can certainly happen, but Yoshi's New Island certainly doesn't make increase his influence any more than Yoshi's Island DS did. I just don't think Yoshi getting any reps is a big priority.

Calling something a remake normally suggests that it is the entire original game but remade with better graphics or with some (normally little) additional content.

yeah thats how i was thinking as well. Ashley seems to be more popular and i think she could have a little more to offer, but Mona just feels more right as the second character for the series.

As for what character it would be.... No idea, been way to long since I last played a Wario game that I don't remember the characters. lol

Jimmy T. is not a villain to any extent - just a dude with an afro who loves to dance. He's a charming character though, I could see him in if any of them got in. Again, I'm skeptical that Wario even needs two reps, but if he does, Ashley offers nothing that the other WarioWare characters don't, and has been in fewer games.
