I think there's a reason for that. I mean, support threads exist because there is support for that character. If a character has support, that usually means they have merit to be in Smash Bros

That's not necessarily true at all. If people are convinced that, they will probably be disappointed when Smash Bros is complete. Even characters with the most support have not made it in ANY of the previous installments. And several characters with little to no support have been added including Pichu, Villager, and Wii Fit Trainer. I'm sure there were a lot of Tom Nook supporters who mad fun of Villager supporters in the past. This can lead to and influx of incredibly generic rosters, as some are scared to try anything outside the supported/approved characters.

I don't let this interfere with what I think is likely if I have good reasons, which I do.

Andrew was always kinda the slippy of the team, forced to join due to andross, the star wolf team kicked out pigma since he had no loyalty. I hope that in the next game star wolf gets a new member (Kat hopefully.)

I feel that Andrew had some potential to be an Andross 2.0 with a body, but oh well. I like Pigma due to him being the scumbag of the SF franchise. For some reason I like scumbag characters in video games but only to a certain extent.

As for Katt, oh god please no. The devs who made Command already started to ruin her when they screwed up her color palette and that weird orange boob armor.

Anon dev 1: "Hey everyone I just noticed something with the female characters."

Anon dev 1: "Oh it's nothing, it's just that all of them are different shades of pink."

The funny thing is that I wouldn't mind her Command look if it was just a separate character and NOT Katt. Pretty much how I felt when DmC (Ultimate Devil May Cry ) came out.

Note that we didn't exactly have support threads pre-Melee the way we do now, so using Pichu as an example doesn't really apply here. I'm also sure that while Villager vs Nook vs Resetti happened a lot prior to the Villager's reveal, everyone outside those camps saw them all as unlikely. Regardless, they had a decent amount of support prior to Sakurai dismissing Animal Crossing as a series "incapable of fighting". Wii Fit Trainer is the exception, obviously. I hope we're not saying that because Wii Fit Trainer got in, any sense of logic should be thrown out the window. Wii Fit Trainer, as unexpected and unwanted as she was, still had her own warrants for being included. She shouldn't be the rule that a character will get in, the character themself should.

I'd still like to know why Donkey Kong Jr. is considered worthy enough to you to be DLC instead of Dixie or any other more popular Kong. If you've said any good reasons, I wasn't here to read them.

It doesn't use the overrated Typhlosion, uses a new rotation of types for stages, I like it. Consider it done.

Actually looks pretty good. Could you explain Kalmek and Tingle? Personally I'd replace 'em with Isaac and Shulk. They seem more likely to me, AND they'll let more franchises be represented

Dixie would be more likely as DLC before DK Jr, surprisingly it just didn't cross my mind though. I should have put her as DLC. But, I think DK Jr would be next in line after Dixie. Also I hope that when I use Wii Fit Trainer as an example people don't think I imply logic is meaningless, but if a character has logic maybe not as good, I wouldn't throw them out the window, because they still have some logic. I have seen others use that Wii Fit Trainer excuse to avoid logic (bluepikmin11)

I need some help.

I want to add a second Pokemon Trainer as a gen 6 rep (I'm not really a supporter of removing the Kanto Trainer's Pokemon.) But, than there is Lucario and the possibility that the Mewtwo could appear in the awakened form alone, thus being a gen 6 rep. And I personally don't support Lucario with Mewtwo, I feel there should be more than 1 New Pokemon and that Mewtwo is only half new. Any suggestions how I should go with this plan to have a 2nd Trainer and whether Mewtwo should be Awakened or both?

Don't say Zoroark because you might as well just keep Lucario.........

The issue here is that what your suggesting is completely pointless.
If making Bowser / Giga Bowser turn into Dry Bowser after using the Final Smash is completely aesthetic, then what is the point at having it at all? It would be better to just add it as an unlockable alternate costume rather than adding in something completely pointless that doesn't do anything for the character in the long run, which is what everyone is arguing with you about.

Support changes as time goes on, Wolf is a great example of that.
Characters like Pichu and Wii Fit Trainer are curveball characters Sakurai added for reasons of his own (Relevancy and for joke purposes on Pichu, Nobody would have expected her and Wii Fit's immense success on Wii Fit Trainer). People still expected an Animal Crossing character despite Sakurai suggesting that they wouldn't have fit in Brawl. People may have been disappointed, but they didn't give up hope.
Why is the Ridley fan base still so big after Ridley being a boss twice and Sakurai mentioning it being "pretty impossible" to make him a playable character? Because it would still be a plausible and openly accepted idea. I highly doubt anybody who agrees with the "Ridley is too big" argument actually doesn't want the character in smash, they just can't imagine Ridley being respectfully sized and playable at the same time.

But anybody who makes fun of anybody else who supporters a character with any real chances is either normally just playfully bothering them or is just immature. There is a reason why this wouldn't be the same to somebody who realistically expected Goku or Naruto (Or any character along those lines) because they don't have a chance in comparison to other existing characters (despite that, it's still wrong to make fun of other people regardless of the reason).

Nobody should "make fun of" anybody else, regardless of the circumstances.

But what fathoms me is why you even make a roster if you have a list of "other ideas" and "alt. choices". Why not just create a list of potential newcomers and just call it a day then?

Oh, god. Do not start that. Yoshi isn't gonna get a rep because a new game came out (which by the way is barely anything more than a remake.)

You shouldn't add a character because their franchise was convenient enough to get a game released around the time that SSB is being made. You should add a character because they are important to the whole franchise and made a big impact.

Just wait til Tropical Freeze reveals the new Kong, EVERYBODY is going to put it on their roster.

Uhm, maybe have Ghetsis, or Colress (actual Pokemon villains) and have them control a couple of pokemon. Colress represents that scienc-y side of pokemon and would lend himself to having Mewtwo and Genesect. However Ghetsis is probably more recognizable and could take that spot.

Just a suggestion.
