I would be perfectly happy with that roster.
(Only change I would make is replace Isaac with Wrestler & Reporter from Rhythm Heaven.

Also, minor point, but Sakurai mentioned (in response to someone saying Smash 2 should have James Bond) that it would take a lot of money to include a character from 007 and Star Wars (because he admits earlier that the Beam Sword is essentially a lawyer-friendly version of a lightsaber), and thus Hal Labs. would likely not go for it.
Then lists other examples:
Popeye
"Spartan X" (which some may know as Kung-Fu or Kung-Fu Master); which is referring to the protag Thomas
Nakayama Miho (since Nintendo did
Nakayama Miho no Tokimeki High School)
as what would most likely be impossible to feature as well.
So there we go. We know the REAL issue in regards to non-video game characters; licensing costs. Now, Thomas isn't a non-video game character, but he
is one that isn't owned by Nintendo, which is a separate issue.
