Here's a brief little synopsis of my ideas for the characters I listed, and why I listed them.
Chibi-Robo
What He Adds: Deadly Hygiene
He can fight players using hygienic products and cleaning equipment. Imagine a toothpaste and toothbrush special that makes the floor sticky or slippery, determined by which is used, causing the floor traction to alter, a broom attack that can hurt players and also move items out of reach, projectile attacks using crumpled pieces of garbage and other rubbish-type items. The possibilities are just so wacky and zany, I've started to warm up to the little robo maid.
- Porky
What He Adds: Mech Fighter
Imagine this being Super Smash Bros. version of Tron Bonne from MvC. Porky could use his Mother 2 mech to attack opponents. While I wonder how the scaling would work for such a character, it would be awesome (and surprising) to see.
- Ridley
What He Adds: Aerial Ace
I've always had this idea of Ridley being a predominantly aerial character who'd have the ability to move around freely for limited amounts of time. Also had this idea that he would be the only character with aerial smash attacks and throws, but the trade off is he only has tilt, special attacks and select throws while on the ground. Not sure how this would work out, but I'd love for Sakurai to try something creative.
- Palutena
What She Adds: Trap Character
Seeing as she is a deity, she has infinite magical abilities at her disposal. As explained earlier, she can be a mix between MODOK and Dr. Strange from UMvC3. Shields, magical traps, illusions, and other trype of tricky projectiles can give her a playstyle much different than most of the other characters in the cast in that it's more defense based.
- Bandanna Dee
What He Adds: New Weapon
There is a lot that can be done with a spear. Even if Sakurai were to plagiarize Kirby's Return to Dreamland, most of his moves differentiate themselves from the rest of the Kirby cast, as well as other Super Smash Bros combatants. He can use his spear as a projectile as well as a blunt force weapon.
- Takamaru
What He Adds: Different Swordplay, Japan trope
Up until now, most of the sword characters have had a very traditional Western fighting style. Takamaru is a samurai, and as such he has a sword style that is considered typical for that position. However, the sword play alone doesn't make him unique, but he also can play upon all of the typical tropes that exist regarding samurai's and ancient feudal Japan. Ninja stars, magic, traps, stealth, animals; Sakurai can have fun wrapping all of these themes into one character.
- Mii
What He/She/They Add: Customization
If there is any team that could implement a character customization system that fits Super Smash Bros, it would be Namco-Bandai. I don't imagine anything too crazy, but maybe character's attacks could fluctuate by weight ala Mario Kart Wii, or maybe there are stock moves that players can swap out for their Miis'.
