Actually, they have. Dillion's Rolling Western: The Last Ranger is a Streetpass Puzzle. Something no other downloadable title has achieved.

Ah, ok. My knowledge of those puzzles is... basically nonexistent, but I guess that's something. Though I stand by what I said, that still doesn't really put him in the same league as those other series. If he keeps getting games... sure, but with his reception so far I'd say that's pretty up in the air. Not that it would affect Smash 4 anyway.

I'd be down for Golden Sun, Punch Out!!, Rolling Western, and Custom Robo getting playable characters at some point in Smash. I guess Xenoblade could get a character too, I'd be fine with that. And Shulk does have dedicated following. But I'm mostly pulling for Issac and Little Mac. Now that I think of it, Custom Robo would be perfect for 3DS.

I can agree with that.

Dillion strikes me as a character we could see next time if he continues to grow, but he seems too young for this game.

According to a press release a while back around UMvC3's reveal, Mega Man and Gene from Godhand were almost chosen to be in the roster (kekeke, that's bull**** amiright?)

Anyways, what franchises do you think deserve to be introduced in SSB4? I'm rooting for Punch-Out!, Dillon's Rolling Western, and Xenoblade. Not sure about how I feel about Golden Sun though.

Nothing really. But if we're honest, he might be too new of a character to warrant being added to the series just yet. Maybe if he had another two or three games after Smash 4, then he could be a better contender than he is now. But I'll pleasantly surprised if he does make into Smash 4. I think he can offer a couple of tricks to make an interesting moveset. Though maybe he won't have the most original moveset, he can still take aspects seen in multiple characters and mix them together in an interesting fashion, and still manage to give Dillon a personality of sorts when fighting.

The only time that being too new is a deterioration is if said content is released after the roster has been finalized, which time around is presumably somewhere around the second half of 2012. So technically speaking, Dillon won't be skipped out because of been too recent, that title belongs more to The Wonderful 101. If Dillon's Rolling Western is ignored, it will be for some other reason. I mean, being too new wasn't the problem with a majority of franchises that were regulated to minor roles, the problem has to lie somewhere else. Like Golden Sun wasn't regulated to the sidelines because it hasn't proved enough and still needs to last longer in order to be worth it, maybe it had to do with no interest or copyright complications, or something.

If Dillon's Rolling Western is to expand its character, we already have Jiro, Boone, Galo, and Nomad coming from Dillon's Rolling Western: The Loner Ranger. Have no hopes or desires of that until Dillon get in though.

There is actually one more anniversary left in November (the Japanese anniversary for Donkey Kong Country), however, Sakurai probably wants to save Diddy Kong for Tropical Freeze.

Aside from Diddy Kong, if we do get another veteran confirmation this month, it will probably be relatively random (see Marth).

Looks like we will at least get Zelda for December though.

The only releases we actually got a reveal was Pikmin 3 (though technically the day before, since Pikmin 3's release was a Saturday) and Wind Waker HD.
And how many games have been released so far, even in Japan?

Instead, we've got two random reveals (Peach and Marth) and two in accordance with the every other month major Nintendo Directs (Luigi and Sonic).
So, instead of assuming there's going to be a reveal whenever a game comes out, just count on the next one being revealed in December's Nintendo Direct barring the possible random reveal between now and then.

We've also been typically getting one character a month, with September being an exception since we got both Peach and Toon Link.
Unless something comes up next week, it seems our token "Character of the Month" is Marth until December.

I see a face behind Marth including a huge nose. Now most might just consider this a stage hazard but this nose totally confirms a new character!! I know some assume that its Luigi but he's about as likely as Mickey Mouse not to mention he's owned by Sony and Naughty Dog. Unhinged: Luigi's Nose content was strangely absent from PSASBR but that in no way confirms that Italian plumber during the day, adventurer the rest of the time will be in SSB4.

It in facts confirms our first 4th party character! Or 5th, not sure. He has deep connections to Nintendo. He appeared as a hidden character in DKC as well as Star Fox but only if you blew hard and long into cartridge; just enough to unlock him.

I present to you the character hidden behind the nose!!
