Well for starters, Robin does offer something different from those other choices. Which in my eyes is a good enough reason to speak positively.

I think "Too recent" only applies to characters that will likely have a future, but are currently not more important than the person who previously played their role. I think Tiki Tong could be an example of this.

I'll say over looked villains
my opinion is that the most over-looked villain is probably hades

but that is probably because of the immense fan demand from Palutena, I guess people just don't notice him

Hades would be cool, though as I can see him making it in as a boss. Though If I had to pick an overlooked villain, I'd go for Black Shadow, he always seemed cool to me too. He has a classic comic book villain look to him. And he's voiced by the same man who did M.Bison.

Also, Captain Falcon's Japanese voice actor does the voice of Vegeta from Dragon Ball Z.

What do you think about Robin now?

With the Male/Female thing that the trainer and possibly villager have, something like that happening for Robin seems like a natural fit. But I'm not holding my breath or anything. I just don't want Ike to be cut as far as Fire Emblem goes.

For November these are the reveals I could see happening:

Little Mac (Punch-Out anniversary)

Veterans:
Zelda (A Link Between Worlds release)
Diddy Kong (DKC1 and DKC2 anniversaries)

Coincidentally, the dates for nearly all of these things coincide with November 21-22.

In that case, I can only see Zelda confirmed this month... we won't see Toad or Little Mac or any newcomer confirmed this year. Diddy Kong is probably getting revealed on February when DKC:TF comes out.

Old Woman Impa is in the game too. Diddy Kong finally gets his waifu and Sheik supporters laugh.

There's always Palutena but I still don't think we are getting new newcomers this year. I would like to be wrong about that. Kid Icarus came out on December 1986. Please no Dark Pit.

No. Ness and Lucas aren't the same characters.

Why should this hurt Lucas's chances? It's like saying that this would hurt Toon Link or Luigi's chances. I'd say the alternate costume thing would only go for characters that have a opposite gendered counterpart of themselves or if they actually have a different costumes to use.

So nah, this doesn't effect Lucas's chances at all.

I am already annoyed with these threads. At least I tried to make my Duck Hunt Dog idea unique and he was somewhat important to the NES since his game was bundled with the NES, the Zapper Light Gun, and Super Mario Bros., consequently making him not obscure... and he actually has the proper/appropriate body type for fighting.

Depending on who got in the vanilla game of course:

1+ Mario character (Toad/Bowser Jr/Paper Mario/Waluigi)
1+ Pokemon character (Zoroark/Genesect/Pichu/Meowth)
1+ Fire Emblem character (Roy/Chrom/Robin/Lyn)
1+ DK character(K. Rool/Dixie)
1+ New franchise character(Dillon/Wonder Red)

The characters themselves are obviously a crapshoot, but I'd imagine if they want to sell huge amounts of these season passes it'd make sense to include the most popular franchises overall* and introduce a new franchise as well and I'm leaning more towards Dillon's Rolling Western and Wonderful 101, although I guess Shulk could technically work if he wasn't in the game.

*I'm aware Zelda>>>Fire Emblem, but a lot think the series is basically complete with three main characters and an additional Link.
