I think the odds he comes packing at least a Kaptain costume, and maybe a Baron one, are higher than those of other characters, since costumes are a far more central aspect to K. Rool's character than they are to the vast majority of other characters. With most protagonists, costumes are a temporary power-up or gimmick; with K. Rool, he changes costume and the entire theme of the game shifts as a result. It's also an endearing quality of his that sets him apart from the other villains and heavyweights (and characters in general), so yeah.

I think that K. Rool would bring something new to Smash that no other character does.
His costumes can affect his gameplay.

If you're going to put an obscure character in your roster, pick ONE of them. Sakurai isn't going to saturate the roster with 5 newcomers being obscure characters. If you want Diskun, fine. But don't add any other obscure character besides that, because chances are it isn't going to happen.

Sakurai has to add the big name characters to draw massive hype. Adding in Diskun, Kawashima, Harry, etc...all in the same roster? Especially when we may only get around 10 (+/- 2) newcomers? Never happening.

I like the choice of Excite Biker, although I prefer Mach Rider. Not a bad roster overall.

Like I said tons and tons of times before, Dr. Kawashima could be added due to his uniqueness as a professor using educational attacks, which is very diverse from the cast. It was the reason why Wii Fit Trainer and Villager were added, and I can see that this has a strong connection to Dr. Kawashima. But we'll see.

The reason I chose Excite Biker over Mach Rider is because I feel that he would fulfill the "bike rider gimmick" more efficiently, since that's his only ability, and what he's known for. I also feel that he's more feasible given his size and maneuverability. But I'd be happy with either one being added.

Because really, uniqueness and success of Brain Age aside, the issue remains this is the head and face of a real person we're talking about. And that's ignoring other issues like the fact it's a floating head.

I don't care for Starfy and am curious about how Excitebiker will function.

I think 6 new misc. characters is a bit hefty, so I'd recommend taking two or three out to add someone elsewhere (thinking Zelda, MOTHER, and 3rd Party).

The last thing is the lack of an Awakening rep for FE. I, personally, think it holds more priority than Roy, despite his demand.

my opinion is that the most over-looked villain is probably hades

but that is probably because of the immense fan demand from Palutena, I guess people just don't notice him

Hades is too big, too recent, and too purple.

I wouldn't call Hades overlooked.
An overlooked KI villain would be Orcos, but I don't see how he would have a chance at Smash 4.

And speaking of "too recent", does anyone think that could actually be a thing?

I think the many Lords from Fire Emblem are still high priority for IS to get promoted and I think the next game for the series would be huge factor that will influence the outcome of who will be the next playable character that we will get and I´m referring to Fire Emblem x Shin Megami Tensei (I know it sounds weird but I can see that the characters that would come to that game will be highly important to IS for the reason that those characters will represent the whole series for the point of the crossover).
