If you post that one Facebook, expect responses as people wishing for Captain Falcon's sister and the like.

Is it just me, or is Mewtwo looking a little bit more cat-like these days?
Not only that, but he's probably gone up the fictional tier list. Super speed, flying, time slowing.. yeesh. Then he sucks in Smash 4

You know, the correct way of playing Mewtwo in Melee is by putting on handicaps, and give everyone but Mewtwo handicap 1. Mewtwo of coarse has handicap 9.

I had a lot of fun fighting as Mewtwo like this. :awesome:

I think he'll try to make Mewtwo better. He basically has to at this point.

I just don't understand why people would not want Mewtwo back for Smash 4.

But yeah, Mewtwo's a pretty good bet.

Because he's not gonna be what you expect.

It's gonna be the same Mewtwo from Smash Melee, with maybe a couple new moves and some buffs. A far cry from what can take the most advantage from his potential. I've said it, the concept is cool and could bring a lot of cool things to the table, but considering what we got in Melee, I don't have high expectations for him.

Mewtwo vs Charizard vs Blastoise vs Pikachu

I don't think we have to worry much cause of Melee's Mewtwo. Imagine they've learned from that, and I'd be happy with new specials and buffs.

No, Mewtwo Vs. Charizard Vs. Lucario Vs. Bulbasaur (Ivysaur is fine, too.)

This is precisely why hyping the return of Mewtwo is going to be bad, especially when the next game is not bringing back wavedashing. Mewtwo is going to end up just like Zelda was in Brawl.

Genesect is starting to look more appealing to be honest, and I don't even like Genesect that much.

Considering the next game will not be like Melee or Brawl, there is no way to definitively say what any character will be like at this point.

So because we had no wavedashing, Brawl Zelda sucked?
Wavedashing and L-Canceling being removed ironically made Zelda worse despite the buffs she received. This is mainly because at least those options were okay compensations for her moves having poor approach options. With those gone, her poor approach is more prominent.

One thing for sure is that we're not going to get something like Melee. At best it's going to more like Brawl but with the varies flaws fixed.

Hmmmm.... I'm not sure if your being serious...

But it is true Zelda does need a good approaching move

I think Zelda sucked in Melee too but I never played pro. Unless you're including Sheik in the sentence.

Anyway I hate all those wavedash/L-cancelling things.

Well, first let's hope he's in the game. We can care about how he plays later, don't we?
I have to disagree here. If you're gonna support a character it should be based on how you want the character to play, I mean otherwise, why are you supporting someone? So you can take snapshots of them with the free camera? So you can stare at their picture in the roster?

If a character plays like crap then why bother? This is why I can't get behind some characters such as PacMan. Because I KNOW he'll be mediocre and uninteresting.

With Mewtwo, I'm not particularly excited because he won't be totally redone, so its just treaded ground imo, same with Roy.

Zelda was mediocre in Melee, but she is horrible in Brawl. This especially odd because she received power and speed buffs to her attacks in Brawl. Mechanic changes did not do her good, and Mewtwo would of followed suit due to the two sharing similar attributes.

Buff Zelda: remove Sheik so she doesn't need that ridiculous 'Sheik for damage, Zelda for finishing' style.

Buff Mewtwo: buff his moves, hitboxes priority and weight. Specials and speed buffs would also be great, but not as neccesary as the rest.

Just a quick question, but why do you HATE it?

I don't particularly support Wavedashing and L-Cancelling, but I think my reasons are different from yours. Hate is such a strong word. Why would you hate a competitive game mechanic?

As for their return, I doubt it'll return, and as I've said, I'd welcome Air-Dashes warmly.

Mewtwo needs to be completely redone from scratch to be good. Not just buffed. I'm not even talking Zelda level here like what we saw for her in P:M. I mean completely reworked, he has NO combat strategy in Melee.

Also, anyone notice we're on page 404? It's the missing page!!

Personally I would not mind wavedashing being absent, but I would appreciate L-cancelling returning. The ability to reduce the lag of landing is pretty useful actually.

Meh, I disagree. How was Captain Falcon suitable then? He's basically the most beloved Smash character and if you look at it, judging his games, he had the most uninteresting moveset possibilities out of all characters. I want a character basing on how much I like him. Then if he sucks, too bad. Even Layton for now can't offer much. I want him anyway. Why? 'Cause he's cool.
It's boring to look at moveset before than characters. At this point let's just put a bunch of random fighting characters like Heihachi and Ryu. They'd offer a great moveset in Smash.
Look what they did with R.O.B. I find him one of the most amusing and fun character to play as in Brawl.

I liked L-cancelling. Wavedashing would be better for me if it didn't look like it did. I mean, a ground slide to gaan momentum... It's kinda out there. I hope Smash 4 will give us a good alternative for this. Maybe short rolls?

Quoth the pages, 404.

Also, I'm just a bit curious. Manly, what is your opinion of Muddy Mole as a wildcard retro to go alongside Takamaru? I feel he could offer a unique playstyle, but wanted your opinion on the matter, since you like characters with unique playstyles, and all.

I think that what you're saying simply proves that we can't know how good will a character be in Sm4sh. So at this point, it's irrelevant, I just want the ones I like.

Not everyone thinks about the roster in terms of gameplay. Super Smash Bros has been, and always will be, about the characters themselves more often then not. As far as knowing whether a character will play like crap or not, that is completely subjective. There are many characters I feel will be mediocre or uninteresting, but other people feel differently than I do.

1, not everyone plays that way with Zelda/Shiek
2, how is it ridiculous?

We shouldn't need L-Canceling, why don't we just cut the lag on landing? Just make it so you always L-Cancel. I want to be able to actually CONNECT attacks. Melee you could do it with some characters, but I want it to be possible with all characters.

Don't judge my words so meticulously please, lol.
It's just that exploiting glitches or unwanted mechanics in a game to play is boring. I mean I watch some pro match on Youtube and they're fun, but they kinda killed the meaning behind the game if you ask me.
Let's say that I would rather have a mechanic that was expected by the developer.
