The only potential person I could ever see using that is Diddy in Smash Bros. Depending on the new direction, this could very well happen. Otherwise, the only videogame character that fights with this style is Eileen from Virtua Fighter.

Monkey Kung Fu is an artstyle that uses a combination of arms and legs that mimics the agile movement of monkeys. To be honest, I would try something like that if I was given the chance.

It's not easy though and requires a lot of time put into it. It is apparently considered one of the more advanced kung fu styles. Although I've figured the application behind most of the techniques, I need to get as much formal teaching of it before I graduate because I don't know where I'll be after May.

Choosing favorite characters is an entirely different ballpark than identifying likely roster picks.

I saw the video, and would immensely enjoy a character with that fighting style in a Smash game.

Well, I wasn't talking about choosing a likely roster. I was talking about supporting a character to be in the game that I believe would be a great addition to the cast.

I refuse to believe someone just supports a character because they feel they will be added to the game. People support them because they have emotional attachments to them, as well as believe they will be good fighters.

Actually I've weirdly started to support Dillon without having ever played or seen the game, pretty much just because I'm in support of a new IP and he looks cool.

Nearly every character I want in got in at this point. My wishlist is pretty much just Ridley, Mega Man, Mewtwo, and Roy. I also would like no cuts (at least on the Nintendo side).

Among characters I want that have no chance, its pretty much Pico, Leaf, Crono, Simon Belmont, and Alucard. I also would have wanted Banjo-Kazooie if they were not owned by Microsoft.

@Frostwraith: Dr. Mario is actually not my "most wanted". I would prefer if my Melee main came back with being more of a doctor-based fighter like Skullgirls' Valentine (but more lighthearted and comical, obviously), but if he doesn't come back, I still have my Brawl main, Wario.
My most wanted is someone that I rarely talk about unless he's brought up (which is quite rarely). Shadow, who Habanero will probably ***** about for being a "filler rehash" .

Supporting a character based on likelihood is rather shallow, I agree. It's adding these unlikely but awesome characters to prediction rosters because "their moves are cool" or "their game is criminally underrated" that gets irksome after a while.

I don't see how Shadow would be a filler rehash. While it's true that Shadow and Sonic do have similar characteristics, Shadow does have moves that Sonic doesn't have. Shadow is also the biggest rival Sonic has, with only Metal Sonic being comparable. Basically, Shadow would be the Lucas to Sonic's Ness in a sense.

It would be funny if Takamaru had an alternate costume based on Link's outfit (maybe the original Link design?), as if they were "hand-me-downs" from his older brother.

I would look more forward to how that would work with Samus and Pit, however. Maybe just Pit wearing an oversized helmet or something.

Mewtwo for who he is, is worth bringing back. Regardless of crappy playstyle, we aren't cutting Link because he sucks balls. And yes, Mewtwo is comparable to Link.

Very few people wanted Krystal for Krystal, but rather her moveset potential.

I really disagree. If someone wants Krystal, then they probably actually like her. Like you say, people are often iffy on her. I think most people just SAY things like this, and assume it's true.

It's not like genuinely liking someone is just a special thing some smash speculators do.

I'm not going to do a full review like Chrono (just yet) but I'll give some thoughts on this poll.

As of right now Isaac is four votes behind Waluigi. I think the 4chan surge is finally halting and other characters are rising. Waluigi is staying pretty much in the same spot. I'm curious of how much of the votes for Waluigi were for WAAA and how many were for the character itself.

I think there is little demand for an F-Zero rep because of the series being on hiatus. It hasn't had a game in almost a decade. Goroh/Black Shadow will most likely get more votes if we got a new F-Zero game unveiled at the E3. If that happens I expect their popularity to skyrocket for a while.

Shulk is an interesting case. He's popular but he has quite a bit of competition. His game isn't known very well (because of the ridiculous way it was sold and the minuscule amount of copies made) but he still is one of the more popular suggestions. I find that interesting. I wonder if he's like Roy. Most of his western fanbase has never played the game he's from.

I think there is one big reason why Ghirahim is so high. He has no other real competition from his series. Back in the pre-brawl days Midna fans fought against Zant quite a bit. The fanbase that thought a TP character should be added was divided and thus not as strong. Add the Celda Link (Toon Link) supporters into the mix and the Zelda fan base was divided. This is not the case with Ghirahim. He has no competition outside of Impa, Tingle and maybe another Toon version of a character already in. Most of the Zelda fanbase see him as the go to guy for a new Zelda character.

If K.Rool is confirmed, most of his supporters will flock to Dixie and support her. I guarantee it.

My two cents anyways.

Also, he has competition, I promise you. Maybe not in popularity, but in terms of actual candidates. Toon Zelda and Tingle kinda give him a huge run for his money.

To us smash fans, yes. Most of the Zelda fans I have seen shudder at the thought of Tingle and another Toon character. Although I agree that his fabulousness is quite lovable.

Why would Serebii want Mewtwo out? I didn't know this and it's weird. Obviously he wasn't cut due to Serebii wanting him out lol, though it's interesting.

Anyway if it was for me, we would have got Zant in Brawl and Ghirahim in Sm4sh. I don't care if they're "one-time" characters. Ice Climbers too are. Lucas is. I don't care, if the character is awesome and presents a moveset that interesting, he should be in. Now it's probably too late for Zant, I hope Ghirahim doesn't miss the train though. One of the best villains in the Zelda series imho, probably the most underrated one (Skyward Sword being the most underrated game).

On the other hand, I'm hoping the Ganondorf we have now gets cut and we get Toon Ganondorf. With hopefully a revamped moveset which makes him an interesting character again. Sadly he can't be in the game as an alternate costume of the "normal" Ganondorf I think, they're too much different as body shape and moveset style (I want him with double swords obviously). We'll see, it'll be interesting though since he didn't even appear in Skyward Sword, so if they follow Brawl's way of doing things, Sakurai would have to restyle not only Sheik, but Ganondorf as well.

Here is where I have to disagree with you. At least Mewtwo needs to return. Feel the way you want to feel about Roy (who I also would like to see return, but not as high priority as Mewtwo), but Mewtwo at least has his unique moveset and playstyle, which with a few buffs and new specials would be an awesome character.

Also, lots of people actually want him back.

Skyward Sword also is indeed underrated. Though I disagree about Ghirahim, maybe as an extra chracter but I want Impa first.

I think I would be very satisfied with this SSB4 roster. Sure, there are some characters who I want but they are not in this roster... overall, I still think it is pretty decent.

Yoshi and Wario are both part of the Mario "shared universe" so to speak, and given that they really don't have many reps to theirselves, I guess he figured it was just best to group them with Mario. *shrugs*

I am not slighting you in anyway, however, I think now is a good time to address the "you cannot be a fan of "xxxx" character because you have not played the game they are from."

The funny thing is that I have only seen this used against Roy. I am sure very few people have played the game/s that the Ice Climbers, ROB, Marth, Ike, Ness, Lucas, Mr. Game & Watch, and Captain Falcon are from, especially relative to the size of their Smash Bros. fanbases. For some of those characters (Ice Climbers and ROB) their source material games are considered sub-par, and for Captain Falcon (outside of GX) you don't see him do anything outside of his car.

Also, here is another way of looking at it. Look at Toad and Waluigi, most of their popularity comes from games where they are simply another character on their game's rosters. Their fanbase mostly derives from people who use them in those games.

The same goes for Smash Bros. Many people could absolutely hate their source material (like most Ice Climbers and ROB fans), but absolutely love how they are portrayed within the Smash Bros. series. The Smash Bros. games are just as much Captain Falcon's games, as the Mario Kart games are Waluigi's. So to say that you cannot truly love a character since you have not played their source material is very disingenuous.
