I kind of felt like that for Pit.

Imagine, the first trailer for Brawl that revealed Meta Knight, Wario, and SNAKE, and Pit was the only one that really grabbed my attention. I don't know if I should be depressed or happy about it.

I really am, just when I first came to the boards, that was blasphemy. So I stopped talking about it. But yeah, he's way cool. I like Bowser (in Smash) so even if he was a clone, I would be MORE than happy.

The reveal of Sonic and Pokemon Trainer got me pretty hyped. But I was coming to a sad realization that Brawl was NOT having as many unlockable newcomers as I originally thought (Keep in mind I was 12 when the first Brawl trailer was revealed, and 14 when it came out. I had HIGH expectations), so in hindsight, Wolf and Lucario should have got me hyped, but I was severely put off at that point.

I didn't know he was a Dixie Kong supporter as well. Personally, I would be pleasantly surprised if she makes it. She definitely deserves more love than she gets right now at least.

I gotta wonder when I felt that feeling. I guess when I saw Meta Knight, Wario and Diddy. Also many veterans returning to Brawl (especially Jiggs and Ness).

But I hope SSB4 will blow my cover even more since there's now real characters I'm waiting to be in.

Dixie would really make my day too. The scandinavian-traversing chick chimp, that's how I always remembered her. If she made it in Smash, that'd truly bring my childhood into one.

Technically there was only 4 characters in Brawl that got me really excited, which was Pit, Sonic, King Dedede, and Diddy Kong. As for the others, I most glanced over them. The only ones that gave me notable distaste is Olimar and Zero Suit Samus.

Its good that you support Bowser Jr. regardless of whether he would be a clone or not (it shows you truly love the character). I also agree that possibly being a "clone" could be a bit of a plus as far as Sakurai is concerned.

Also, bringing up the possibility of "clones", I think Krystal's best hope of getting in would be possibly a last minute "clone" like Falco and Wolf were. Like her being a mix up of Palutena (borrowing some of Palutena's A-moves) and borrowing the specials of the rest of the SF gang (shoots a ball of energy out of her staff, casts a reflect barrier around herself, uses psychic powers to shoot herself in a certain direction, makes a quick side dash), and her Final Smash would be.... a pink Landmaster.

Would you be alright with this?

I figure most Krystal fans would rather have her in as a semi-clone than not in at all.

What can I say, I like brats. (Which is why I like Karin of SF and Lili of Tekken)

I really wouldn't mind. I would HOPE Sakurai doesn't use clone final smashes anymore. Clones don't really bother me, tbh. Of course I would want a staff weilding Krystal, but again, I just want Krystal. If I had it my way:

Fox: Stays the same
Falco: Becomes a "living arwing" I want him to have a moveset based off of the arwing capabilities
Wolf: Get more feral, and his specials should use Assualt weaponry
Krystal: Staff and Dinos all the way

They all COULD be really cool adaptations of the StarFox saga, but because of the circumstances EVERY StarFox newcomer is added under, they're simply clones. Which is fine, just not optimal.

Personally, I prefer Roy over Marth in terms of movesets. I enjoy a heavy character.

Characters that got me excited in Brawl:
- Sonic (my most wanted character after Ridley)
- King Dedede (I wanted him in since 2000)
- Wario (same as above)
- Diddy Kong (same as above)
- Olimar (the two Pikmin games were among my favorites for the Cube)
- Pokemon Trainer (he was definitely a pleasant surprise for me, I love those original gen starters)
- Pit (wanted him in since I played Kid Icarus for the NES back in 2001/2002).

Chrono didn't care for Ike? Suprised. I'm glad I'm older this time around. Last time when Pit, Lucas, and Ike were revealed I had NO opinion on it. It was a useless update to me. I had not idea. They were "from Marth's game" or "From Ness' game". Now, every addition will give me some sort of response. (Mostly positive I'm sure, considering the only character I don't care for is Waluigi)

I like the idea of Impa, truth be told. Just the supporters killed her.

I don't really go nuts over much. I tend to keep my excitement internalized, even when something really gets me pumped(It really annoys my parents). I could see myself getting pretty excited for Megaman or Ridley. Maybe Lloyd or Bandana Dee as well.

I forgot to list him. I was happy that he got in because he was my preferred choice for a FE newcomer (and I also really enjoyed Path of Radiance, probably my favorite internationally released FE game).

These guys, plus Bowser Jr. and, to a lesser extent, Dixie.

As a fan of comical characters, I would also not mind the inclusion of Groose, Hades, King Hippo or Duck Hunt Dog, but I would not actually go out of my way to outright support any of them.

You know, it's weird when I think about it. Call me a hipster all you want, but I'm the type of guy that would support characters that are lesser known or just flat out talked about less just for the sake of because they are appealing. I feel as though having some time in the limelight feels more satisfying to me then simply harboring to whatever is popular. Being sheep to me doesn't feel right, so in a sense I just support whatever I feel like wanting instead of expecting. Hell, I don't even care much about Ridley.

Ike and Sonic were the most exciting for me. Shame both ended up being kinda disappointing.

Sonic's inclusion had a big impact on the industry if you think about it. In a way, it sort of made Nintendo's collaboration with long-time rival Sega official. Now seeing Nintendo work with Sega is kinda like a second thought, it's sort of expected.

I sort of agree with you there, but I feel that stems from the feeling that those characters have so much support that there's no point in joining in. Getting them recognized by others isn't gonna do much good as everyone is already doing that for you.

It's kinda how I feel about Palutena. I like the character and I wanna see her in, but I kind of expect her, so I don't bother.

Apparently there is a five pic limit in the sigs so I was forced to take him out. I support him but his inclusion wouldn't get me as hyped as the others would.

But I tend to be tolerable to most of the inclusions as because I'd feel bad if they didn't make it in too despite everyone's expectations.

Considering that Sakurai had problems with Dr. Mario being a costume, I doubt he would be keen on having a completely different person (voice and all) as an alternate costume. I could see Marth having Lucina's mask as an alternate costume though.

It's like some sort of twin telepathy thing going on or something.

I do like darkhorse contenders a lot, because it's something out of the norm that creates a sense of disbelief for others. While I don't play as certain characters, I do see the charm with the Ice Climbers, Mr. Game & Watch, and R.O.B. To a lesser extent, Ness, Marth, and Captain Falcon too. This is why Pit to me was a big moment of enjoyment when first confirmed, and why I like to support characters like Lip and Takamaru.

I want Ridley and Mega Man more, though between Mewtwo and Roy, I would be more ecstatic about a Roy confirmation than a Mewtwo one (who is another character I personally want in), because Roy's inclusion has more uncertainty to it, while I am pretty much expecting Mewtwo to show up (Mewtwo is the closest character we have to a shoe-in), so in my mind Mewtwo has already been confirmed, just not shown yet, . Its funny how my wishlist is basically consists of only two true newcomers, and two characters that have already been in Smash Bros.

I would honestly be shocked if Mewtwo does not get in. He has nothing going against him.

Starfy was pretty much who turned me into this since he pretty much crept to win my heart after I just got his game for sake of seeing Wario in action at World 8. It showed me that Nintendo had some unsung heroes which were definitely something I'd love to see in Smash because I really like them and would deserve to be there to make Smash Bros free-for-all, not a Popularity Contest.

Smash Bros should get more of a "character gathering" feel. I don't know how to explain it but we could use more crossover meetings outside of the very roster-specific.

- Rover (Animal Crossing) and Anna (Fire Emblem) would be the menu characters which appear when the game loads up stuff or you're in the menu for explanations.

- Audience could have some more role (think TTYD)... one idea would be the characters from the series you chose a character from appearing in the audience and sometimes throwing you an item and such if things can get hard for you (okay, another gimmick but it could be toggleable. Or it might even depend on the performance which nets you cheers and thus some item).

- COMICAL STUFF PLEASE (comics, skits ala Tales Of and so on). Kid Icarus Uprising was beyond funny, so why can't we have that in Smash Bros?
