i have no wins lol, i used rob in the singles for the first time in about 3 months at poly...and i only used him vs shadow and zucco

actually i used rob on bloodcross a couple weeks ago, so my only win is on bloodcross.

Important questions none of us are asking:
What furthers us R.O.B. players to have a ranking?
What purpose does it serve?

Personally, I think the R.O.B. ranking is counterproductive.
It makes us look a the small picture.

So what if Holy mains MK or NinjaLink hasn't played R.O.B. in a year, if they're clearly the best player for the character, then their skill is all that matters.

I don't want to be a part of this, don't list my name on any ranking because I don't have an ego that gets in the way of me having fun and expressing myself through my performance.

You can rank me or anyone else as #1 after we have beat M2K, ADHD, Ally, and DEHF at a NATIONAL tournament, when that happens. Until one of us does that I don't care which one of us comes out on top from butting heads with each other here, as that's irrelevant to my personal goals in life. Now get your game on and take down those top 5 so we can see five R.O.B.s in the NATIONAL BEST RANKED.

Why is this even a discussion? We all know chibo should take the number one spot.
Last time I checked, not playing a character for an extended period of time disqualifies them for PR placement. Also, if they haven't played the char in over a year, to what do you know about the competence of their ability to play rob? His metagame isn't THAT stagnant and 2 dimensional is it?

I vote Tommy shouldn't be on the PR not because of the whole ego thing, but on the basis that he doesn't enter tournaments anymore and still talks like he's the ****. Big man in charge with nothing but his history of self proclaimed greatness. <3

Oh, and despite all this mumbo jumbo, I do agree with t0mmy's points about the ranking being a small scale look at something that should be big scale.

Actually, I will be entering tourneys again, perhaps you didn't hear I've been in hibernation for winters (and plan to every winter).
And when was the last time you took top 10 in a nation or were the highest placing R.O.B. consistently in both west coast regionals and nations? Hm... well since nobody is speaking up for me I guess that's why I have to come off as an arrogant jerk (shrug) I really don't care about my "greatness" but get your facts straight, MONEY MATCH ME, or just learn to be more polite.
Gotta love the Smashboards theme... flame someone, if they respond you call them arrogant for defending themselves, if not you get to feel better about your own shortcomings by bringing others' down instead of yourself up. (I'd suggest bringing yourself up, it's more productive).

Why are you so upset about it?

We know what you've done, but that's old news and doesn't affect what we're discussing here. You're the one who needs to be more polite. You may want to rethink the attitude you use to present to us how 'nice' AIB is, or just lighten up and learn to take a joke. Once you become active again you will be considered, I hope you place highly and beat a lot of good people, more top ROBs couldn't hurt.

In the meantime I'll be compiling all of your posts into The Official "Why Everyone Should Worship T0mmy" Thread.


This makes me not want to count anybody who doesn't have results posted, but that wouldn't be fair to ROBs like NL or Holy.
