TorontoTopTiers.com and A&C Games proudly presents our very own Melee Tournament that is part of the Road To EVO Series. That’s right Melee players, if you are planning to go to EVO this year, you will need these coveted EVO Points. With Melee community fighting tooth and nail to get that last spot in EVO, Melee players certainly deserve to have its own tournament to decide who gets the EVO Points.


A weekend full of Melee gaming right here in our beloved city. The question is, are you good enough? Play with all your might and be TORYUKEN II’s Melee Champion.

Spadina Station. Go South till you see A&C World. It’s on the same side as the “Licks Restaurant”.

PRE-REGISTRATION:

There are two ways to Register for TORYUKEN II:
1) Online Pre-Register
2) You can catch me (Russell) in TTT x A&C World Casuals if you want to pay by CASH.

IMPORTANT
There are no Door Registration
Please Pre-Register to not be excluded. Spectators can pay anytime.
NO EXCEPTIONS

10Am: doors open
11AM - 2PM: Melee Singles pools
2PM : Project M + Doubles (if Doubles entrants are too low, then melee bracket at 3PM)
4PM: Melee Singles Bracket
8PM - 11PM: finishing up, and top 8 stream
venue closes at 11pm

Strict Rules will be followed for disappearing. Nobody is special and you will be disqualified if you are not there when called. Warnings will be given before proceeding with Disqualifications.

TOURNAMENT RULES:

-We will be following EVO Rules-

Game version: US Nintendo Gamecube
Game Settings: 4 Stock, 8 Minute Time Limit, No Items, Pause Disabled, 2/3 Games
Starter stages: Yoshi’s Story, Fountain of Dreams, Final Destination, Battlefield, Dream Land.
Counter-pick Stages: Pokémon Stadium.
Wobbling is legal. Freezing is not legal.
First stage is decided by banning from the Starter Stages in 1-2-1 order.
Following stages decided by winner banning one stage from all stages and then loser choosing.
You may not choose a stage you have already won on unless mutually agreed to.

Singles
1st Place – 70%
2nd Place – 20%
3rd Place – 10%

BRING YOUR OWN CONTROLLERS:

The console equipment will be labeled and registered to ensure its safety. However, please be careful with your controllers. Furthermore, if you know you cannot find a controller stick within that time you will be disqualified. This is advance warning and will not be brought up again.

BROKEN STICKS/BUTTONS:

If you have any stick/button problems at anytime, STOP PLAYING, get up and inform the director. The stick will be fixed/changed and the match will be replayed. If you decide to whine about the sticks after the match, YOU WILL NOT GET A REPLAY MATCH.

Will doubles just be on the first day, and singles be day one and two?
