Can you elaborate why you find him scummy? Like, what specifically makes it scummy? A lot of what I remember you saying is that he shouldn't be town because he's being typical Rake and that he had reads you disagreed with.

Personally speaking, I don't find him scummy at all. I think the Ruy/Rake thing would've yielded something a bit more telling but Rake seems to be showing a steady amount of patience with it rather than going gung-ho on Ruy, which I find to be a more townie action rather than scummy. If he is scum, I've got little reason to suspect him.

Honestly I'm feeling a J lynch. He's been spewing FUD all day today and it makes me really dislike him.

All I was told was I git the phone for hammering and didn't know what to do with it. Then it said I was getting a call and if u answered it would put us in a private convo. Ryu asked what I was doing with his phone and then te convo went dead

This, I think, is the crux of my issue. There's 100% shenanigans going on here from people not claiming (there is a thief this game if Ruy is telling the truth and I'd bet it's not town-aligned as it probably would've claimed by now or tried contacting Rake), but this is a basic thing I don't get:

1) Why didn't the phones turn on until now when they were both in the game as it was? Ruy said he could only get messages in D1 and suddenly he gains the capability to send messages? Just because his namesake role died?
2) Assuming this is still the case, why can't Rake send a message back out?

These are mechanics that aren't being explained that muddy the issue. I expect there's a good deal of this that is simply Bard's doing but I don't like the fact that roles are changing, turning on, and turning off on pure whims from the looks of things.

However, Rake was very opportunistic in jumping at Ryu for his role doing something different than he claimed even though I think it's obvious why that happened, and then throwing random points such as Ryu possessing a useless item onto his case. Rake comes off as overzealous scum who overextended in thinking he could mislynch Ryu off this role stuff, and I think he is scum.

Honestly, it seems like the only valid explanation as to why the conversation was cut off. I don't see why Ruy could shut the phone off if Rake couldn't and I think that if that was possible, Rake would've mentioned it. It seems more likely that the phone was truly jacked.

Actually, here's an interesting point: did Ruy ever throw the brakes on the Rosie wagon or even point out that he wouldn't vote Rosie?

The ability itself could be either alignment. I like that he claimed responsibility for doing it seeing as it was anonymous and he could have kept it hidden, and his target and reasoning checks out to me. Honestly I think he would want to pick Ryker regardless of his alignment, to rolecop him as scum or try to clear or condemn him as scum. I'd prefer to leave the headache of deciphering role crap alone.

In that situation, why wouldn't I just shoot him? No one was gonna doc his ass.

His play comes into it but I'm kinda thinking now that scum ryu really wouldn't claim the one shot track, or even fake it, because its such a out of left fiueld thing to try. Like on first go anyone pushing him would be like : oh look ryu's fear tacting us by claiming he's got this **** with the one shot track he picked up. Like it's not som,ething i can totally see scum ryu going: yeah i'll just tell them hammered rosie got me a one shot track. Like what does it achieve.

I still really dislike him not knowing what the cellphone did because flavor contextually, it's a cellphone, it's gonna make phone calls. kantrip's theory about the roles may hold salt but thats wifom now and the thing that pauses me even moreso is usally amnesiacs just send results randomly as i recall, so why would rosie suddenly have a cell phone, and share said item with ryu , and be sending it to the claimed "gossip mod" like it's alot of ands to tack on that delve into role wifom for me. As i said before i thought ryu had bs'd the claim which is why i brought it up and I'm not sad i did either cause at the very least it kicked ryu in here.

I'm really on the fence now which is why i haven't answered kantrips question about wanting the ryu lynch.

Like part of me just really believes Ryu's hiding aspects of his role but the way's he's talked about it (even though i think laundry calling him out on how it was changing wasn't too far off the truth) it just seems so ridiculous there's a part of me that realizes it's too ridiculous for ryu to do as scum.



I think he's still worth having pressure on at least cause his play D1 wasn't exactly stellar either, which by the way, ryu tried to make it seem like all I'm calling him out on is this, but this is just the major thing, I didn't exactly love ryu yesterday, I did swign away from his lynch to be fair but only because he was doing exactly just enough for me to be willing to take a shot, but with what happened at night, that changed my opinion on how i treated him previosuly

Why did you not buy into the Ruy lynch yesterday if his play matters to you?

I will be here to respond more in-depth, but I think you're stuck on the namesake thing. He's the other moderator role. Raz and Ruy would be the DGames Mods. It's the role being linked to Raz not the role being linked to Ruy the player.

Nothing to do with flavour. I was saying that it was a balance mechanism for the Amnesiac Tracker Recipient to get a one-shot Track when the Amnesiac Tracker died.

Turns out Ryu actually claimed that he was informed his phone was stolen when the conversation cut out.

1. Wots All This Then? (Orboknown/Jdietz Hydra) - I do like how they made no mention of my play til i called them out on it, they have not been helpful either day and I find their play to be very subpar. Not a priority lynch at this point but one I would look at.

3. Maven89 - sigh, I'll admit me voting him yesterday was to not die. But...sigh I didn't want his lynch. I saw sparks of good play there and I wanted to let him stick for him to offer better play for town to use overall. He had good ideas, I get what laundry said about the arms reach thing, and I do think that deserves questions for but, idk I just don't think he is a good angle right now.

4. Kantrip - I don't recall much of d1, late entry and all. But I have loved his D2 play so far, he is gving good insight and making the right plays to make sure he is trying to find out who is scum!

5. Spak _ I like how Fand got him to ante up more, but again I do not think he is a priority right now and find him to be more lost town than scum.

7. FandangoX - he is town.

10. #HBC | Ryker - I like your play right now, and I find it to be a lot more helpful to try and make town get it's **** together. I am cautious off paranoia, but..I gotta agree with virtually everything you have said this day.

11. Rake the Macaroni Jabroni - I liked his day 1, hated his day 2. Day 2 has no depth of thought and thinking of player he know well, he knows me very damn well...but with the role shenanigans, I forgive some of it. Part of it was my fault not knowing the mechanics of the game. That said why is he still voting me when he acknowledged this? That makes zero sense to me if this is town Rake.

12. Laundry - Town...I am butting heads with him a lot but I understand why, he hates my day one and how I handled my role...but I don't blame him at all. My day 1 was garbage, I agree and will admit my faults there. Day 2...his ability to look into that....I like that a lot. Especially for my Spak explanation.

13. #HBC | J - I do not get J, his read on me and Maven has no logical progression, he says he wants me first easly on....then 180'd to say he wanted Maven over me....and this was before I was posting better content. This makes zero sense to me, why did J flip this read at all?

~EVENT: THE BOW TIED PRESENT~​

As everyone debated and quarreled amongst themselves, Nabe happened upon an interesting item during a quick break to the restroom; a present wrapped nicely with a bow on top.

"How peculiar; I haven't seen this thing in ages. Maybe it will be of some use? Albeit I can't remember what's in it..."

@#HBC | Nabe brought the present to the throne room and held it up. Although he wasn't sure exactly what was inside it, he knew it would be of some use to solve the mystery of the recent deaths.

"This item may actually come into use for us. Albeit I'm not quite sure what's in it, I remember it being of some help in a previous mafia game. I feel that I'm the sort of person who would pay close attention to their parents as Christmas approached, listening for any small hint as to what they might be getting me...I am a big fan of presents, after all. Ah well, I'll leave this up to you all to figure out."
