because they dont come out of thin air. they come out of facts, evidence, observations, and all kinds of tangible elements.

your religion is just based on faith.

Good point.

As soon as Adam and Eve were banished from the garden, swords existed. We had weapons from the get go of becoming imperfect beings. Cain killed Able. I would think it would have been with some sort of tool but the bible doesn't specify.

Hitchhikers is a fictional book but it does have interesting opinions about..... stuff.

I don't think those animals were really aware of them being married. I'm talking about proper marriage, not..... forced marriage.

Science hasn't fully proven itself and neither has Christianity. Choose what you want to believe.
I find it laughable that you're trying to use the Bible to essentially prove it's own existence, or at least what it stands for.

Say what you will, but at the end of the day, the Bible is nothing more than fiction.

I pose one question for you: are you able to prove the Bible's legitimacy, and therefore God's existence and Christianity's legitimacy without quoting anything from the Bible? You're trying to debate against empirical evidence with an inherently flawed argument.

I pose a question myself. What will you be thinking when you are in a jail cell, getting ripped apart by 13 ft tall demons?

Congratulations, you've completely avoided my question and have decided to attempt to change the course of the debate by posing a question of your own.

If you'll have the courtesy to answer my question first, I'll be glad to answer yours.

If not, don't bother.

you wont prove anything with people going through near-death experiences. let's have them dead for a month and come back and maybe we'll have something.

Someone was going on about Free Will a bit ago. Quick interjection: Free Will is impossible. For more information, go read the Debate Hall topic about it. Just use the search function.

Then prove that science is completely reliable.
If science were completely reliable we would have stopped already. Science is just a process where we observe phenomena to create a model of how it might work. Then we do tests to see if the model works or fails. If it works, we continue to test it. If it fails then we see what and how the model fails and correct a deficiency, expand the model or stop using the model and create a new one based on the data that is present.

The current theories that we use are models based on huge amounts of data. The cores of these theories have (more or less) been proven to work at all times within their system.

Already did. Best answer is in the google video link but it is over 1 and a half hors long but definatley worth the watch.
Do you choose to ignore this? Here, I'll even bold and increase in size the part that you seem to conveniently ignore each and every time:

I pose one question for you: are you able to prove the Bible's legitimacy, and therefore God's existence and Christianity's legitimacy without quoting anything from the Bible? You're trying to debate against empirical evidence with an inherently flawed argument.

Well if you reject my answers then that is your choice. If you put me down, then that is not a civilised manner to deal with anything. Your hearts are hard and your minds are narrow. Your fates are sealed and you cannot harm me beyond death so I have nothing to worry about.

You started it by rejecting our answers. If you don't think science is reliable then stop using anything related to it, from wheels and clothing to computers.

Religion-induced ignorance at it's best.

I guess I'm done with this poster. I just find it funny how I'm "rejecting" your answers when they clearly don't even meet the criteria that I had stated in the first place.

Don't blame your ignorance on the rest of us.

Also:

Your hearts are hard and your minds are narrow.

Hydro Kirby, how can you prove that a god doesn't exist?

You're REALLY ignorant if you think Jesus didn't once walk on this earth, cause he DID.

So how do you see life? Once you're in the grave in your ashes, it's all over? That all the crimes you commit have no penalties if you dont get caught at the scene?

You probably believe in the big bang theory then, dont you? "meteors crashed to conveniently make a perfect planet for human life known as Earth" ???

The thought of man being able to rule is disgusting, glad there is a higher power.

Wowowow please don't link that 23 minutes in Hell thing to prove anything about Christianity. That's a joke. I'm a believer but I turned that off pretty quickly.

In other news, this thread is a bit of a cluster****

have you yet to prove that he does?

You're REALLY ignorant if you think Jesus didn't once walk on this earth, cause he DID.
there's no evidence that he did; even if he did exist, it wouldnt prove anything.

sure.

you know nothing of the big bang and should therefore shut up about it.

The thought of man being able to rule is disgusting, glad there is a higher power.

I myself can't prove it, I won't be like others are try to impose it. I just believe and have faith that he does.

So if you never meet my brother, he didn't exist?

okay?

then how does asking us to disprove his entire existence to you fruitful? the burden of proof is in your hands.

So if you never meet my brother, he didn't exist?
i never met your brother; however, that doesnt mean i have to believe you have one.

youve never seen a leprechaun. i wonder... do you think they exist?

explain to me big bang theory then, oh wise one.
