I love how I wanna main Mewtwo and Lucas, it makes me feel like I'm gonna utilize the DLC than most of the other characters! Rayman would be a perfect addition to this for me <3

Until Rayman gets in, I'll be using my Mii brawler of him that I made. It was one of the first three Mii fighters I made, right up there with myself as a gunner and a sword-wielding Ganondorf.

I've gone back to Brawl to see how Lucas was, and I love him!

His moveset to me is more interesting than Ness's and more fun. I never liked that yo-yo Ness uses for his up and down smash attacks, and Lucas doesn't have them!

Also, the back air spike is the most satisfying in the game! :3

Has anyone else realize that the final date to submit your character on the fighter ballot is actually on the one year anniversary of Super Smash Bros for the 3DS? A nice anniversary present to the fans would be: TIME FOR A SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT THE CHARACTER YOU VOTED FOR IS.....RAYMAN!!!!! for $3.99
I'll pay that DLC in a minute and say thank you for the anniversary present Nintendo and you too Ubisoft.

That said, I have a bad feeling he won't get in, given how Ubisoft has treated Nintendo as of late and how he's obscure in Japan.

Neither of those are all that much of a problem though.

1. Because the fans decide this time. No matter how much bad blood there is between The N and The U, he'll get in if enough people vote for him.
2. Japan is a relatively small portion of the ballots vote.

I still stand that Shantae should have been the character representing that "indie" trophy, and not that character. :/

And regardless, they got their trophy...let's have a character people actually know about...

The new character(s) in July were Robin/Lucina as well as the return of Captain Falcon.
Shulk's trailer was in a Japan exclusive Direct where the NEW 3ds was first revealed alongside Xenoblade 3d in August.

I think that in both cases, they're fans of Smash Bros. (I'm sure Ubisoft wants Rayman in Smash Bros. as well, but I wouldn't read too much into it - as I recall, the person behind Xenoblade retweeted the announcement for the character trailer that turned out to be for Robin and Lucina)

A company retweeting something doesn't always mean anything because monolith also retweeted the Robin/Lucina trailer.
And nearly every other third party with some association with Nintendo has said something in regards to getting a character in Smash.
Activi$ion and Platinum are the exceptions so it's more a sign of interest. Kamiya's actually really pissed with the Bayonetta stuff.
And let's be honest. Who wouldn't want to have one of their characters squaring off against Mario?

I actually voted for Rayman! it's my only vote, to make sure that my vote will actually go to him.
We need to have another 3rd party ___man. Also, on a result list someone made based on reddit things (not sure how it works) Rayman was number 3! I would be so happy with him in smash!
