A couple of matches I had on Wifi.

This is not my best. I couldn't adjust to the horrible lag (which Isn't usual), and the controller's buttons weren't working most of the time.

Yeah, you're a lot better than that, but you have improved from the last time we played. You f-smash a lot less. You z-air more too. And you do a great job landing grabs! I don't think I saw you miss one grab, with the exception of what I believe was a failed DAC, mirite? lol You didn't do those constant jab cancels like you did to me though =[ I copied you and do that a lot recently like jab, jab > jab, jab > jab, jab >grab. It's great for racking percent. You should use more variations than grab though, like u-tilt and d-smash. Good job getting the jab cancels anyways, they're a lot harder to do on wifi. And you're using DAC a lot more too in good situations.
Your opponent fell for a lot of dumb d-airs though. The ending was sick.
We should play some time since we're so close. I think I still have you on wifi. Where in Ontario are you? I'm in Brampton, which is really close to Toronto. The Brawl community here is pretty good (they've entered tournaments in US with Neo, Plank, etc. and have placed VERY high like top ten out of a lot of entrants) I'm not really active in it right now, but I think you could learn a lot playing them.

Well, thank you. I normally never do a improper DAC Cancel, but I just did there. That Jab Cancel to The First two attack of the jab, I found is not as helpful as a Jab Cancel to a Grab then pummel to a throw.

Yeah, I think we have each other added, that is if you added my New F/C. I'm on now, if you'd like to brawl.

I go to HB now. Close to Sandalwood and D'Youville.
lol, it doesn't matter if you give it out publicly because most others don't really care because everyone is American! Smashboards is generally friendly anyways (you probably already know that) and nobody is a predator. lol

Sasook's just being silly

So Kalm, does this mean you didn't try your best when I three stocked you?
Inside joke

Seriously though, you've improved alot. Not to mention that Ganondorf of yours drives my Link in for a loop.

Yeah, our games are really laggy, I can't adjust to Red connections, yellow is the most for me, even though I still win some games.

Yeah, Ganondorf as total advantage over Link when in close range, that's why he's above him in the new tier list.

Good stuffs.

I still don't like your attitude sometimes though. D: *Still has that rather rude PM you sent me... >_> *

Edit: ****... I wasn't able to get on the computer for the last 3 days... that kinda ruined some of my plans.

I should play you, but not online.
lol
There's a tournament in Niagara coming up in Nov. 8th I think.. reach?
I didn't really consider going cuz i don't feel like traveling so far for brawl, but if you're gonna go, then I'll come for some good Link dittos. My friend wants to go and i'll go with him if he is.
Canada's best is gonna be there for sure, and we should play doubles and call our team 'THE BEYBLADES' and up+b a lot lmfaoooo But seriously, you can show Link's potential at one of the highest level of play.

I'm pretty close to Malton and go to a few friends' places once in a while and I'm sure they won't mind having you over.

There's also tournaments and biweeklies that happen pretty often in Sauga.
http://smashboards.com/showthread.php?t=137099 <--- biweekly that used to happen, but stopped for a bit, and might be starting up soon.
http://smashboards.com/showthread.php?t=192358 <---- a melee tournament.. i dunno if you're into melee, but i'm sure there will be some brawl friendlies there.

check out the canada regions board, there's a lot of stuff there where you can find out of tournaments and smashfests and stuff. I don't know why new people never go there..

Yeah, I'll think about it. I don't really have enough spare time to attend tournies, I barely ever did. But I'll be there/join if I can.

Hey, nice matches, especially if they were online. Even with lag you had good control over Link. Unless it wasnt online and I was thinking of another thread. In which case, you still did really well. You have great control over Link. There's a few moves you could have done differently in a few scenarios, but overall, you did a great job. I'd like to see some matches against better players though, like, the shiek could have gone for a few more f-tilt combos, but you get the idea.

Yeah, it's not that hard to adjust to lag, even if they're different kinds.

It takes hours for me to adjust to lag.
But the second I start rocking lag I have to adjust to offline battles.
Then the endless cycle begins...:dizzy:

ask Kalm, he'll vouch for me about how much I suck at first. :psycho:

Actually, I think it's because you're at a higher level of play when every single frame and movement matters and you have to play consistently. Wifi's lag and lag spikes takes so much away from that.

I played Wifi a little at the beginning of summer and stopped playing and just played whenever I was with friends and I was able to pick up or utilize Link's techniques better. I watched Legan and am in the process of applying pivot boosting in my gameplay.

I went to play online a week ago and everything was terrible. There's a like a cap on wifi that SEVERELY hinders Link's potential. The higher level the Link player is with the techniques; the more damage wifi will do to you.

Well, if you are playing on Wifi, f-smash and d-air work better, I guess.
