In a flashback around the mid-part of the game. If I'm not mistaken, it's around that level where you run through a haunted forest near Mt.Fuji. Where you fight that woman with the weird tiki mask. (I think that was Level 4)

He's a decent option for a new series rep, although I think Isaac, Takumaru, Little Mac and Starfy outclass him in this regard. Still, he's apparently popular, and would be slightly original compared to generic sword users (although I don't believe adding lasers to a sword-based moveset would be grounds for a good set). Depending on how much priority Sakurai gives to new series, which he hasn't before, although the lack of good newcomers from old series might change this, Saki has a somewhat decent chance, but is by no means a shoe-in. After Megaman's cancellation, Ridley and Little Mac are the only two current shoe-ins in my book.

Luigi was very much looking forward to again representing the Smash series as part of the original twelve. He was absolutely joyful when he got a perfect score. He jumped around and went to tell Mario of the news.

Saki Amamiya did a decent job in the likelihood polling, scoring a 68.21%. He was also revealed to have gotten a decent 3.71 in deserving as well. Smiling, he kept his hopes up that for the first time, he would receive an invitation to be playable.

Barbasol wins five more newcomer nominations! Give a round of applause for him for winning twice in a row.

I think we have a very good chance of Wolf returning, although this is by no means guarantee. Him being a semi-clone and the risk of Star Fox tanking certainly makes him vulnerable, but I doubt Wolf will be receiving the axe.

Phoenix Wright:

I am shocked that this guy actually got in Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3. The fact that he is actually playable makes me wonder why he was chosen over Mega Man in that game. Either way, should not appear in any shape or form. Against

Anyway, going for his inclusion, he is appearing in that and the fact that he is relevant. But really, that's it and it's not saying much.

I very much doubt that he will ever make a playable appearance in this game. He has next to no requests for SSB4, fighting style probably wouldn't fit into the Smash universe, etc. If Capcom dares suggest him for that game, Sakurai will shoot him down with the same reason he gave Animal Crossing and it's a very good reason. I will be unpleasantly surprise if he took the third spot.

He's much more relevant and popular than Krystal, especially with Star Fox 64 being revived, but because Krystal was wanted for Brawl and Sakurai tends to add formerly popular characters, he may cut him for her, or may cut him period, considering his 'clone' status in the eyes of his casual audience.

It's Megaman or bust. Unless their creator becomes buddies with Sakurai and begs, only immensely popular third party characters have a chance from here on out.

Wolf - 90% - Being the antagonist that was added for the Starfox series, I see no reason for him being removed. A little bit more decloning is in order, but that is really all that should be required. The Starfox franchise is good as-is now.

Phoenix Wright - 5% - I don't really know much about this character, except that he is third party. His chances, because of this, are already shot. If third parties are making a return in SSB4, Phoenix Wright will not and SHOULD NOT be one of them. Period.

Wolf O'Donnell ~85% Wolf wasn't really who we were expecting in Star Fox... in fact, most didn't expect a new Star fox character at all! He surprisingly beat out Krystal, only to become similar to Falco and Fox. However, if he was a straight clone, I'd suspect he would be cut no question... but quite a bit of work went into making him unique. He has a low stance and almost all his moves are unique. Hopefully he will return with something other than a land-master, but he'll probably stay in Brawl, but who knows? Star Fox isn't a premiere franchise anymore, and Krystal is still lurking around....

Wolf - 85%

There is some reason why Wolf could be cut from the roster. Firstly, Star Fox didn't really need three representatives in the first place. The series has suffered a hiatus up until this year with Star Fox 64 3D. However, according to what users on this forum have said (I have no source), Nintendo may not pursue the series further if Star Fox 64 3D doesn't perform well sales-wise. In addition, although he and Luigi are by far the least clonish "semi-clones" in the series, he is a semi-clone nevertheless. IMO, it also doesn't help that Wolf was the last character added to Brawl's roster before they had to rush Sonic in - IMO, this shows that Wolf may really have just been intended as roster buff, albeit well-done roster buff.

However, Wolf is a popular character, and since we allow Mother to have two characters, I don't see why we can allow a third Star Fox rep. So I doubt Wolf is going.

Wolf is my fourth main behind Luigi, Lucas, and Toon Link, and I'd like him to stay. However, I can't say he deserves to be in SSB4 - he should be in it, but it's not necessary when it comes down to it. Nevertheless, Wolf is wanted (4)

Phoenix Wright - 15%

Phoenix Wright's series has become one of the bigger continuing franchises at Capcom, and his confirmation for Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 helps his chances, since it would provide the SSB4 developers something to work with. Capcom's supposed abandoning of Megaman may (or may not) hurt Megaman's chances, which could make Phoenix Wright somewhat more likely.

However, Megaman should get in before any other Capcom rep. To add Phoenix Wright without adding Megaman first would be a slap-in-the-face to Megaman supporters, and Megaman is by far the most wanted and most deserving new third-party rep for SSB4. In addition, I don't see where the support for Phoenix Wright comes in.

I do think Wright's chances are a little underrated considering his MvC3 appearance, but I doubt he would get in over Megaman or even Ryu.

On the topic of third-parties, I'm mostly neutral on character additions with some exceptions. Phoenix Wright isn't an exception. I'm neutral (3) on him just as I'm neutral on Megaman or most third-party characters, including Snake and Sonic.

Yes! Yesterday he was confirmed as a playable character in UMvC3! However his chances are still slim, because Mega Man and Ryu have priorities in Capcom (or maybe not, for Mega Man's case).
His moveset will be showed in UMvC3, so, this isn't a problem.
While I really like his franchise, I have to admit his chances as really slim.

Maybe he can fight Mario in a Nintendo vs Capcom crossover.

Interesting character from a great game, and he clearly has fighting potential as seen by Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3... that said, he has very little relevancy to Nintendo's history, or even Capcom's for that matter... even if Capcom got 3 or 4 characters in the game, Phoenix Wright just wouldn't be one of them, not before Mega Man, Ryu, Ken, Chung-Li, Viewtiful Joe, Chris Redfield, Jill Valentine, or Leon Kennedy. Not that any of them except MM and Ryu are likely.

Wolf howled in the wind because he was very satisfied with his score of 86.77%. He was hoping to return to Smash to finally face off against Fox and Falco and this time, finish them off. Predicting that he will probably get an invitation again, he looked forward to that day.

Phoenix Wright made a huge scene, which his abysmal score of 7.62% was revealed to the public. He shouted "OBJECTION!" and demanded a recount, saying that people were being unfair to him. After arguing with the judges, the police came and took him away.

Jigglypuff and Dixie Kong watched the entire thing and laugh as this was going on. While keep a lighthearted tone, they were anxious how they would be received.

Jiggalypufff jigaaaleeeeeeeepuufffff ~ 84% This far into Smash Bros, it becomes clear that this little ball isn't welcome.. After all, this monster was originally put into 64 because of similar dimensions to Kirby. It was quite clear when Brawl came around that fans no longer cared for Jigglypuff in the game, and her inclusion is now more out of reverence for veterans than anything else. I WANT to think Jigglypuff will be cut for obvious reasons, will she? Probably not. But the hopeful chance is there.

Could you imagine someone nominating Jigglypuff if she'd never been in a game before? Ridicule would follow. With Deoxys, Mewtwo, Lucario, Zoroark, Victini, Darkrai, Meowth, and other starters waiting in the wings, how could Sakurai justify this creatures future inclusion? I think, damn the rule of twelve, cut the bugger. I hope we will see Jigglypuff, a female favourite pokemon cut in favour of Victini, who was designed for female appeal and is Game Freak head's favourite. Together with several movies and similar proportions.

Just like King K. Rool, she hasn't made an appearance in a while, but unlike him she doesn't have as large of a fan base although she was found in that Brawl leftover data. I don't think we need another D.K., and K.Rool I think would be a better rep, I give her a 2.

He is part of the original twelve, has an unique move set, is more than a joke character, and even with the people against him, is still popular. He has, however, lots of people against his inclusion for SSB4 and isn't relevant. Still, he has a great shot of being playable yet again.

Dixie Kong

Alone, I am Neutral on her inclusion. There is a reason why I nominate Diddy and Dixie Kong as a tag team.

I think Dixie Kong has a decent shot of being playable. She seems to be at least moderately highly requested, which is fairly impressive when you take into account that King K. Rool gets nearly unanimous demands and is among the Top Five most wanted characters, so at least she hasn't be forgoten. We also could have gotten her in a tag team with Diddy. Considering my theory that they bring back a character dropped from the previous installment to the next one, I would not be surprised if Sakurai were to revisit this concept and successfully team her up with Diddy.

Her chances of appearing alone, however are dismal as she runs into the risk of being a semi-clone of Diddy and I doubt they'll do much more cloning of characters. She also may have relevancy issues since like K. Rool, she did not appear in Donkey Kong Country Returns.

Whenever or not Dixie Kong finally gets in is the question. However, if we get any DK rep, K. Rool will probably be chosen over her, so her only realistic hope is if the team revisit the Diddy and Dixie Kong team.

Jigglypuff 79% - One of the original 12 though with that said they were originally gonna scrap Ness for Lucas in Melee. Also what --- said on losing relevancy and such. However I doubt she'll be moving anywhere anytime soon especially after being in all three smash games. Also has have no cloning issues with any characters as of yet.

The only relevance Jiggs has is the fact that it was one of the original twelve. Unfortunate as the case may be, it's all-but safe to say that that's enough. I really hope we lose him/her before we lose Lucario though. I want Mewtwo back, and for Jiggs to be replaced with Victini, but I severely doubt any such replacement.

Dixie Kong: 63%
King K. Rool is several times more of a priority than her, but I still want her in. I also think she's quite possibly the most likely female character, although I'd be disappointed for Diddy's sake if he gets tag-teamed with her.

Sadly she is still popular, not a clone of anyone and was in all game of the series and so will probably not be replace for SSB4.

Jigglypuff. One of the original twelve. That alone may be all all Jigglypuff needs to be locked into the SSB4 roster - and it probably is enough. Jigglypuff also has a unique moveset and is popular - at least inside the Smash Bros. community. Removing "it" would create an uproar much like when Mewtwo was discovered to be cut from Brawl. I don't see Jigglypuff going anywhere.

However, Jigglypuff has lost it's relevance and much of it's popularity. It has not been a major character in the Pokemon series for at least a decade. It's lost much of it's popularity in it's own series of origin - it's not even among the 75 most popular Pokemon. And it's status as a joke character in SSB and nearly-axed survivor in Brawl give Jigglypuff a low opinion in the eyes of many - including possibly Sakurai, considering that he nearly removed Jigglypuff and only found her a "humorous" addition to SSB.

However, even though these factors really do impact it's chances, it's Smash Bros. popularity, unique moveset, and original twelve veteran status will likely guarantee it a spot - no matter if Sakurai or a portion of the Smash community have to do it begrudgingly.

Although I feel it's spot should go to someone more valuable to their own franchise of origin, it is also an established character of the Smash Bros. series - and that is probably enough to keep her around. She's neutral (3) for me.

Dixie Kong - 55%

What makes Dixie Kong a likely combatant for SSB4 is her planned status as a tag-team character with Diddy Kong in Brawl.

What hurts Dixie Kong's chances is the need to change an established moveset and King K. Rool's superior popularity over her.

IMO, I can only see her entering SSB4 if she becomes a tag-team partner with Diddy as intended for Brawl. Otherwise, she doesn't stand much of a chance against K. Rool.

I would have nothing against Dixie Kong's inclusion nevertheless, so she would be a neutral (3) addition to the roster.
