Curse cuts 50%, Tery.

I think one can easily infer the implications of this development.

boosts HP gain by 30%, but not attack power.

also, forgot to add that garbodor has breakable armor (hurts opponent/makes you faster every time you get hit physically).

I swear, I know I'm bored when **** like this starts running through my head:

Heatmor @ Binding Band
Calm | Flash Fire
HP 252/Def 100/SplD 152/Spe 4
~Fire Spin
~Substitute
~Protect/Taunt
~Toxic/Sucker Punch/Rest

Fire Spin, followed by sub/protect to wear them down. Sucker punch is thrown in for an added attack, and can be used with taunt to ensure they don't try to baton pass out. Toxic is an alternative choice as Poison + 1/8 HP at the end of each turn will whittle down a pokemon fast. Flash fire is the only real option as its other normal ability (gluttony) is useless on this set. If you can swing it, switch in on a fire type attack, get the boost, start the fire spin, and then either toxic/protect/set up a sub/switch out, since they won't be going anywhere. With the way that fire spin works, too, its a guaranteed 4-5 moves (1/2 their max HP). Finally, rest can be used as a healing move if you know they don't have anything to 0HKO you.

Ok, going to be honest, I have no idea if this would work, but I thought it would be a funny thing to try. Gimmicky as all hell, but something thats been annoying me for a while as something that could potentially mess someone up. :/ I'm tired, take this as you will.

Why would I use that Heatmor when I could just use Magma Storm Tran instead.

Please don't waste time with sets you already know are bad.

fine, how about this one:

Jolteon @ Air Ballon/Leftovers
Timid | Volt Absorb
HP 252/SplA 4/Spe 252
~Volt Switch
~Wish
~Protect
~Hidden Power Ice

Basically a scout moveset. Volt Switch lets you hit with a powerful stab followed by a switch out, Wish lets Jolteon provide some healing support, Protect for seeing what move the opponent intends on using/stalling/ensuring wish hits, and hidden power ice to take care of any ground types that may try to wall you and keep you from switching out with volt switch. Air Balloon removes your only weakness/lets you switch in on (toxic) spikes. The chosen ability can go either way, with Volt Absorb giving your team a good electric attack absorber, or quick feet letting you move even faster when poisoned/burned/etc. If running a quick feet version of the set, leftovers would be recommended as the poisoning from toxic spikes would actually boost your speed (though leftovers could be run on both versions to good effect).

I doubt it passing minimum HP Wishes would be all too useful, especially if that is it's main role over being a hit and run/scouting specialist. Min HP Jolt gives a bit under 140 tops while max HP is 160~, so unless you switch into something that will resist/is immune to whatever attack breaks the balloon(which just begs to get Pursuit'd as is), they won't make full use of healing to begin with. Bolt/Beam coverage has its merits, but leaves you susceptible/as set-up bait for something like Ferrothorn and obviously Chansey/Blissey, Tyranitar, etc. With the right support/teammates, it can be a decent set, but I have horrible jurisdiction to begin with, and I haven't played in forever/meh.

Volt Absorb/Balloon are preferable, as QF/Leftovers seem redundant on something already so fast/frail.

I have never played competitive pokemon before, but thought the idea of a SmashPassing Smeargle was too funny to not try to build a team around...but before building a whole team, I'd need to know how it would work out, and also how to allocate the non-speed EVs.

Smeargle @ Focus Sash
Jolly | Own Tempo
?/252 Spe
Spore
Shell Smash
Baton Pass
Ingrain/Protect/Extremespeed

If they can't throw any residual damage at me to break the sash (or if I think they'll switch T1), Smash right away so I outspeed everything, then Spore, Ingrain, and Pass to a sweeper with White Herb, which proceeds to wreck everything. If Fake Out is a common attack on leads, then I think that Protect would work better. The other thing this set worries about is priority, so would Extremespeed and attack EVs be an option?

The thing is, I have no idea what to look out for in gen V (shoulda lurked more), so i dont know whether this would even be viable...but if it is, am i looking at a pokemon that could win matches in 10 turns?

The problem with Smeargle is that every team carries priority, and many teams carry Tyranitar, both of which kill off Smeargle without a sweat.

edited too late...does 252/+2/+2 mach punch@technician/extremespeed do anything to tyranitar/hippowdon?
+2 max attack Mach Punch vs. 0 / 0 Tyranitar: 55.1% - 65.7%
Since most Tyranitar run at least 252 HP, that's not going to work.

+2 Choice Band STAB Explosion vs. 252 / 152 Impish Hippowdon: 78.1% - 92.1%
You're not touching Hippowdon.

rofl...worst comes to worst i still get to put them to sleep, right?

EDIT: and what do you use for your damage calculations?

EDITEDIT: would rain dance/spore/shell smash/baton pass work?

if facing Ttar/Hippo, rain dance T1, spore T2, non-baton swap to a rain sweeper
is rain dance-swift swim banned?

EDITEDITEDIT: running that moveset, what should my defensive EVs look like?

HP 252/Def 100/splD 100/?
power split
toxic
recover
venoshock

toxic->recover(if necessary)->venoshock->recover(if necessary)->venoshock->etc
kinda goes kaput if opponent's immune to poison. havent tested out, just came up with it

Venoshock doesn't do damage. Even with Power Split, you have **** SpAtk unless you're against a Reuniclus.

Yet you don't point out the more obvious fact that Shuckle doesn't get Recover?

Clefable @ Metronome
Bold | Magic Guard
HP 252/Def 152/SplD 104
~Cosmic Power
~Stored Power
~Echoed Voice
~Softboiled

Nature/EV spread is to ensure max bulk to both def stats. Cosmic Power boost/softboiled to set up a wall, and then stored power/echoedvoice to sweep. Echoed Voice + Metronome = unstoppable after a few turns if they don't have a ghost. Stored power is for coverage/power after a few CP boosts (though with echoed voice the necessity for +4/+5 CPs goes down). Softboiled can be used if they look like they're close to KO-ing you.

Leftovers, Softboiled, use Stored Power because more damage
fixed sotboiled. Echoed voice hits 200 base damage after approx 4 turns with metronome (making a boost of 50 power each time its used) with a max of 300 base power with metronome. STAB Echoes Voice at max does more than just CP boosted SP at +6.

Oh ****, my bad, I read your moveset as "Cosmic Power / Echoed Voice / Moonlight / Calm Mind". I'd drop Echoed Voice for Calm Mind.

Also use Leftovers

What does Psychic actually do on that set? You could run HP Fire, like everything else in the world
