Match 2:

Got some new matches. These are some friendlies I did with a couple crew mates and a friend Mask. A Quick note you should all make is that (these are not johns) I got a brand new controller so doing some simple things like chaingrabbing has become a bit of a chore. Sometimes, and you'll see, after a d-throw i just wont run. Thats due to me breaking in the new controller. Thanks.

CHCKN(ROB)
Description: Prolly one of the smartest NEW players i've ever played. He usually doesn't make the same mistake twice, especially if I verbalize it. He's decently hard to mind game, but I feel after a few sessions of training hes easilly gona be the best rob in the area, and possibly one of the better players as well.

MASKY(Ness)
Description: Best ness i've ever played. Problem: It's ness. He's trying to find a new character as it is just THAT easy to gay ness. As you'll see in the first vid, there were many opportunities for me to just bair him to death, but I was busy trying to use a new edgeguard I thought of. Right after finishing the match I came up with a safer way of doing it, that wont result in death as the video displays. Hopefully I'll get to play with him again soon so I can show you all exactly what I mean. If you guys want, you can just ask though.
Match 1:

8-Bit(???Olimar???)
Description: Pretty good player but the problem here is he can't really decide on a solid main. Plays too many characters to ever get as good as he can with a single one.
Match 1:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Uz13EJ8RgI

More Friendlies recorded. New people. New characters.... For the most part.

Advent/Lee (Diddy Kong)
Description: An up and comming diddy, whom i believe will soon be the best one in the state, just workin out some killing issues and he'll be good. His hands move to fast for this game to register, he is indeed Too Technical for brawl. lol

Obviously you're good but i think you should throw waddles more, work them into "combos" ect. You did a very good job of making snake look like a terrible character. It looked to me like your second match you were a bit less stressed, you seemed more aggressive and you should stick to it. I also think you could tilt more. Your ground game looks pretty predictable though, you didn't do much but grab, i know how amazing it is tho but varying that up will definitely improve your game.

Overall, good work on winning trnys and keep posting vids.

thx for the comments thus far

and actually its funny u mention the tilting more cuz thats something i JUST noticed i wasn't doing enough wen i watched the vids myself, and i started a lil more wen i got back wit Chops, a good snake player, and i found it provided more mix-up (obviously) but more importantly made the opponent more open to grabs as they mess up more due to preaasure.

but yea, definately thanks for the comments thus far and i will continue updating vids as they come.

Seeing Afrothundah getting owned in three vids? It's like an early chrismas present.

Normally I would say less Fsmash, but against someone that keeps spotdodging like that, it actually works quite nicely.

And the regicide was beautiful.

Use your Bair when you're sent flying in order to regain your momentum back. There were a few instances where you could have survived an attack if you had. Other than that, very nice Dedede.

bair regains momentum? i kno i shouldn't be airdodging as it doesn't help, but i was in a state for 2-3 months where i thought it did, so my hands are now programmed to spam air dodge when im hit far, and im trying to break that habit but its hard as hell....

a reliable source told me spamming jump helps survive longer too...

Air dodging doesn't help!? Has this really been proven?

Anyways, great DDD. I agree you should tilt more though.
Oh, and more vids please lol

Yes, you must do an attack and jump you will dgo up towards the corner and prevent momentum.

Your matches vs his Snake were good. I would like to see more forward tilt, but really, D3 should always beat Snake, good job. However, I don't know what afro's problem was but his metaknight sucked (maybe he was frustrated?) and you were playing pretty poorly yourself in that match (randomly throwing out smashes, inhales, etc). I think you got lucky and the 3rd match was not as enjoyable as the first two.

Good job though. We need more D3 rep!

And Brickciding is too good

Too be honest i didn't rly care to try crazy hard vs his Meta knight. if i had lost i was gona counter pick with my snake vs his meta, which is what i USUALLY do vs good meta players (just doin that till i get the ddd/meta matchup down pact) its too freakin hard at the moment, so im just using snake for that. Otherwise i use DDD through and through.

*EDIT*

oh and about the mario thing, i actually have an easier time vs wario. like mario i have to try spamming grab to infinite, sometimes it doesnt work, and its annoying. Vs wario i dont have to think ever... at all

and im not saying i lose to mario, i dont. but i consistantly three stock warios. more comfortable with that...

and i also consistantly three stock every single snake that isn't afrothundah, and usually 1 or 2 stock Chops, dunno if u kno who that is but its basically the 2nd best snake in FL. (i also train with him)

Using attacks will help give you momentum back. From what I've noticed, only some jumps give you back momentum (if at all, I haven't seen proof), but attacks definitely do help. The attack that comes out on the fastest frame works best, and I'm assuming it's the Bair or Nair. Not sure which.

I really would like to play a few online with you to see how I stand up against ya. I also am a FL DDD user.
I know online, people play different but it is not a bad comparison IMO.

Were you at FAST1? My name is Thee Incubus (This account is waaay old) and was in the brackets.

Given, I lost to Colbol, but didn't do too bad.
Great videos BTW.

could we see some videos? I'm really inrtrigued to see a Mario main... I really want to see how they fight in brawl compared to melee.

More on Topic: Those were some nice videos, but there was a little too much grabbing for my liking. Just put a larger variety of moves and you'll be less predictable! (and unbeatable)

nice video boss, seems like ti was a better transition from brawl to melee than I thought! You kept Chozen cowering in his sheild for almost the whole game! You have an unbelieve-able offensive Mario.

As for the DDD, I would agree with boss, that it does become predictable... if the Snake in the video learned to grab you every once and a while he may have fared better. Now I'm not saying that it's a bad thing to exploit DDD's godly grab, it's a bad the to overly exploit it.

Use video #1 for references below

to be honest all i saw was spot dodging, rolling and chain grabs.
Hate on brawl nubs.
The first part of this above comment has some truth to it, albeit disgruntled.
What is 0:57-1:20? Dont force ddds inferior ground game on yourself just to fail at chaingrabs,
you have no backbone if you have no airgame. If youre going to be on the ground, you shouldnt roll so much,
but you didnt have a good ground game anyway without the use of smashes or tilts.

If i were to see "Florida's Best Dedede" i would see a completely different player,
i would see more aerials(less slavery to the ground), more waddles(used right, not pseudo accidental like at 0:57-
[if that was shielded you would receive %]), defensive/offensive use of inhale, and CG followups like Dtilt at the stage edge.
If you werent so handicapped by wasting dash grabs you would have avoided alot of pain, alot.
Situiations like 1:10 would not be happening, if you werent so dependent on CG attempts and failures.

If you think you are "florida's best dedede" you come across as pompous to say the least.
"I-WIN"?? lmfao. No. you are not the best, no matter what your tag says.
Winning a single easy matchup gives you no reason to boast or stop learning.
You need alot of practice, just like everyone. Because practice obviously=improvement.
alot of "If"s, but it was a well played match anyway.

never said i was best ddd ever and i was gona stop. im sayin im the best ddd in the state cuz i kno the other ddd's in my state and none of them do or place as well as I do.

2nd, im aware of my weaknesses and Im aware im fixing them slowly, thx. thats the main reason i put these vids up, for critiquing. im not showing off my ddd, im trying to improve its game.

and u'd be surprised how doing one simple thing alot can sometimes pay off better than doing alot of good things evenly.

as for the sig, theres a story behind it, so dont get to carried away with assumptions.
