First of all, it is never a good idea to put "Question out of boredom" in the title, it usually means the question was just a quick thought to stimulate a discussion to cure your boredom. If you can back it up and say it in your post however, that's fine.

cosmo is a beast (sup cos), but zelda has so few legitimate options, whereas samus has a lot of tricks up her sleeve and better kill coverage as she can kill off quite a few moves, missile, charge blast, fsmash, dsmash, nair, bair, dair and her recovery options vastly outweigh zeldas who's recovery is more linear. Once you actually play a little zelda you realize zelda has certain spots she has to be in to recover properly so you can force her into bad positions especially since shes so light and if she lands stage then shes gonna be in for a punish. Most people don't play against a skilled zelda so her recovery seems better than it actually is (its deceptive). Samus is alot trickier and can play a much safer game vs aggro players, and vs campy players she has range too. Din's for zelda is a joke and her ko moves are limited to pretty much bair/fair dsmash fsmash and throws. Though zelda does have a decent OoS game its hurt by her super lame grab and (flailing arms) and samus' upB is pretty legit OoS too so I'd say samus is alot better a char in general.

Samus all the way. She's just so much better (I might elaborate later, but I have an English paper to write at the moment).

But Zelda does have downB, which is arguably one of the best attacks in the game. ;)

since the answer is obvious from smash bros. stand point Im going to look at as if they were each coming from their own universe (For all we know samus could be from the same universe just well into the future) Zelda has the triforce of wisdom and is the seventh sage which gives her numerous magical abilities and lets not forget she can change into sheik and essentially become a ninja.

Samus on the other hand was orphaned at 2( or 3) because the space pirates ravaged her planet and brutally slaughtered her family, she was then adopted by the chozo and trained to be a badass warrior on her own, then they gave her the powersuit which made her ten times more bad ***, she joins the federation and proceeds to be a badass for a good long while, then becomes a bounty hunter and wreaks havoc on entire planets of space pirates effectively moving them onto the endangered list. And lets not forget she wiped out another entire race as well (metroids)

Indeed Samus does win, but you forgot X-Parasites another species she kills off.

She tends to have a habit of that, eh?

Idk man, Zelda just screams virgin. Not that it's a bad thing but yeah. No experience.

Nope. Was too young when it came out. Yeah, it's out now on the Wii Shop Channel now I think, but I just don't have time/care to play it. Might try Zero Mission, Metroid Prime 2, and Other M before it though.

anyway I would pick zelda and turn into sheik if I had to choose. My samus isnt very good and neither is my sheik, but sheik is mad gay.

No she is not that talented, however in zero mission she after she got shot down back to planet zebes without here power suit she entered a high security space pirate base armed with nothing more than a stun pistol (The plasma whip is unique to brawl, and the stun pistol only works when fully charged and it takes forever to charge.) and went around the place Metal Gear style.

Meh, approximate/almost ball position. That better?

Gotta give her props though. That is wicked. I've always wanted to play Zero Mission, just so I can play the ending. It sounds intensely exciting.

The problem is we really dont know the extent of that magic. And since its not dark magic she uses what we see in smash and in the zelda games could be a good idea of her limits. If thats the case I would still have to give the edge to samus.
