You know, I would totally love having Medusa as a playable character. She doesn't seem to be as popular or as likely to appear as a lot of other characters that are more frequently discussed, but Medusa would be one of my favorites if she actually won a spot on the roster.

Sometimes I wonder if that isn't part of what adds to her likelihood. She is a good pick to represent Kid Icarus, and Sakurai could very well use her as a "surprise" addition.

What do we even call Medusa supporters? Warriors of Darkness or something? Or Gorgons. I don't know, I'm just rambling here.

I want to point out one thing from the first post: 'First of all, her "never shown in game main trait": The ability to turn people into stone. '
In the original game all the centurions were turned to stone and only a hammer could rescue them (so did they just have a stoney layer around them? why didn't they just break into pieces, like the humans in the anime short?)

Well, you looked like you were toward her inclusion, so...

About Centurions, sure they are turned into stone, but except in the anime short, we never see Medusa doing it in the game. It's just implied.
It could be a magical hammer turning real statues into living being

I dunno why it'd be against any kind of rules or anything to be a supporter of Medusa and Palutena. I mean I don't know about the Palutena thread, but I'm pretty sure just about everyone in the Medusa thread considers Palutena AND Medusa both being in to be the best case scenario.

Since Pikachu did have an Ash inspired hat for a red costume, I'd expect this to happen as well.

I don't think so, because I expect the snakes to play some kind of role in her moveset. And there'd be hitbox problems too.

If they don't use monster Medusa for her FS for some reason, then I could see that being her alt costume.

You're probably mistaking Ash for Red (original/non-Fire-Red redesign). Though the voice does show that they take influence from "other" sources.

I don't know. It could be weird but I imagine if they had to they could make the snakes look like hair instead, but it would probably be too weird.
