I also wanted to mention something else; a couple of days ago I made one more Tweet in which I tagged Cree. I'm really not trying to bother her lol, but I wanted to give it a shot just once more.. here's the Tweet:

I'll admit it's a pretty desperate Tweet lol but I was trying to see what kind of reaction I could get out of her, if any. As you read (if you clicked the link), in my Tweet I asked if there was any way she could give a hint at Medusa being in Ultimate (assuming she's in and voiced by Cree). She did end up liking my Tweet the day after.

I do want to believe that her like was her way of giving a subtle hint, but I just find it so dangerous to believe.. there's the chance that yes, that is the case, but there's also the chance it's not.. I can't figure it out, of course. I'm not writing it off, it could be something.. there's just no way to confirm anything. I wish we'd have any confirmation, it can be hard to remain patient when you want something so badly.

Just replayed Chapter 9 in uprising..

Underworld should totes be a new stage, it could be like a shifting stage with Twinbellows, Hewdraw and Pandora as stage hazards all leading up to the final part.. A showdown with the stage boss Hades!

Was also checking out Medusa's moveset.. Lots of projectiles to work with for her neutral B and I also noticed some sort of wind tunnel she does from her palm... She also does this shadow claw slash attack too.

Palutena's up smash ( my personal fav ) Medusa would have the same thing except it would be a red darkness.

Medusa would definitely be stronger than Palutena in the strength category and actually she would be a perfect main for me.

I don't believe the box theory any more than I believe that the gaps in the banner mean more characters. Matter of fact I probably believe the banner more.

Oh I see. I don't really believe that box theory to be honest. I mean, I'm always skeptical about theory but this one seems... Wrong to me.

For the banner, we can't say for sure how many empty space there is considering how characters can move. We've seen that pretty well during the Smash Direct. But I do believe that there's at least one space around Daisy, Snake and Mii Gunner. Not only it's pretty empty around Mii Gunner already, but her being separated from the other Miis is just weird. I'm certain that she will move later to be with the other Miis. Other than that it's hard to predict what will move.

I hope that the next Smash direct will have 5 characters like the previous one! (yeah, I believe in a Smash direct, considering the hidden mode and the last assist trophies to show).

The box theory catches my attention because of the unique pattern the characters appear in and that there's an echo between Palutena and Ryu. This is also supposed to be a Nintendo developed asset. But I just can't wrap my head around only 2 additional character reveals. I know we're not to expect too many newcomers, but only 2 characters with 2+ months left just doesn't feel right.

I think that throws it out of the window. It's IMO in the same boat as the chair and pillows theory were.

There's also always changing it by the time of the release too. What we see is probably an unfinished version.

The common thought is Isabelle was left off the box as the official announcement of this Smash Switch was in the same direct as her, and was left off in case they wanted to use that image in the direct itself or to prevent accidental leaks.

Still my point. Since the box art is supposedly showing each character on it. Isabelle has to be added leading to me to believe this is an unfinished version.

It could be unfinished or it could just have the Isabelle and another unrevealed character covered up, like many believe is happening with the stage select screen and the 103 Vs "no more stages" debate as some say there's room for 6 more spots.

Either way I don't any want any one to get carried away with assumptions for either side of a theory.

The unfortunate reality of being a Smash Bros. fan during times of speculation is that ANYTHING has meaning to it and that it will determine what will happen.

I mean, my #1 is Isaac, and the most common association we have is Sakurai's tweet of the Rathalos screenshot, so we tend to go back to that as an argument.

Unfortunately, as the Ultimate updates reflect on what is already announced as opposed to revealing anything new (besides the music), we are dependent upon Directs to convey new information for the game, so I'm not at all surprised that when people see the box, they assume that it's all there will be.

Medusa is the first priority out of all the characters yet to come and she deserves to be added base roster.

Couldnt care less about Ken unless I'm beating him up in Street Fighter V with Kolin.. My main focus now is Medusa for Smash.

Medusa is already viable and a guarantee for Super Smash Bros Ultimate, but hey at least Im one of the ones who supported her and Im proud I did so.

And of course the Castlevania trailer hinted her too.. There will definitely be a new Kid Icarus character.. There's gotta be, and its definitely gonna be Medusa.

It showed a Medusa statue.

Oh btw.. Like nobody ever requested for Ganondorf to be added to Melee, but Sakurai did it so Zelda series can have its villain because he just so happen to have a similar build to a existing fighter Captain Falcon and so he was a easy character design.. Kind of like Medusa now, though underrated on the internet but still she is a easy echo fighter to add so Kid Icarus can have its villain rep.. And KI just so happens to be a series by Sakurai himself.

I believe the box theory is true. I do believe next month we'll get a new character and a new echo, most likely a Pokémon and Ken, and that's why the box is set up that way. That said, I don't believe that's the final roster. Iirc, that box is for a bundle launching in november, they wouldn't include all characters there because then the risk of revealing the whole roster by accident would be enormous, whereas that way the only characters that could potentially be leaked would be the October reveals.

Now, regarding Medusa herself, I think a lot of people don't pay her much mind because they genuinely don't know about her or just haven't thought of her as a possible choice. But Medusa has the advantage of a kick-ass design, which is what wins people over when they don't know the character. I am sure that, if, for example, Black Knight and Medusa were revealed as the last two echoes in the last Direct to round up the villain roster, Medusa would get many "literally who?" comments, followed immediately by "she looks sick". She's a character that doesn't immediately come to mind unless you're a Kid Icarus fan, but one who makes a lot of sense when stopping to think about it. I still think Medusa has an uphill battle to be in the game, but she has a genuinely good shot.

That guy is less trustworthy than random 4chan posts. He knew about the E3 demo, then started throwing random percentages at Skull Kid and Isaac, then claimed Isabelle wasn't in the game, then started deleting his accounts, and published Vergeben's PM just for some of that sweet, sweet attention.
