THOUGHT: how would everyone feel about us DORF's holding DORF OFF's as a free side tourney at major tournaments like SQUAT/Tempest as long as it didn't interfere with the regular events. That would give the opportunity for more players (possibly including interstates) to compete. A lot of interstate players have already shown interest in having some Ganon dittos with us at Robocop.

Time would probably be the major problem. I was thinking singles though because a lot of people seem to want to have bragging rights as the best Ganon.. but there might not even be enough time/available TV's/available players at the time for that to work.

well the point of it would be to verse more players (specifically interstate).. rather than just me, you, sea and whoever getting smashed and doing the usual. Every other dorf off would follow normal protocol.

next DORF OFF in early planning stages..
- not sure when yet, dont want to clash with next QLD monthly or tempest, so maybe after tempest.
- if Bob has moved out by then we'll need a new venue.. we seem to be exhausting all our free venues, so any suggestions would be welcomed.
- pinefreshDORF is supposed to be returning from Warwick to compete in this tourney, hence the title.

No Ganon hate but i think there needs to be more focus on getting consistent monthlys happening then dorf offs at the moment.

J-birds, Dorf off has become a monthly event in a way. It's a still a chance to get friendlies and proper tourney practice as well, not just Ganon ditto's so there's not much of a reason to pioritize other events except major's like Tempest. Also the very reason why Dorf off's has it's own thread is because it is a gimmick event so.. meh

EDIT: Cal, the point is, if QLD's tournament scene neglects the standard metagame for a 'gimmicky' event, then we're not doing a very good job.

Nah but seriously I know the standard metagame is important. Just saying that Dorf off's shouldn't be neglected completely since I guess it's starting to become a QLD "thing" haha. Plus the DORF clan have done a good job in not interrupting the standard metagame stuff.
