I don't know if anyone has discussed this (hell, I never visit the Falco boards) but w/e. Considering Fox doesn't fall down from Falco's downthrow in NTSC, I find that it's possible to play a little mix-up game involving said throw and back throw. DI-ing in to shine stops Falco from downthrowing again, right? And backthrow can be escaped by DI-ing out. So the possibilities are...

Falco downthrows:

If Fox DI's in, you get shined.
If Fox DI's out, you get another grab.

Falco backthrows:

If Fox DI's in, you get another grab.
If Fox DI's out, he escapes.

So it should be possible to mix up your grab game so that whenever the Fox expects you to backthrow, you downthrow and he DI's into your grab, and vice versa until you decide to finish the chain with a dsmash or fsmash.

You can tech the downthrows, making it hard for falco to follow up. Up ill look up more on the b-throw idea, it could work =]

^fox cant tech falco's downthrow.
and if the fox di's the back throw away, good luck following up with anything not named laser.

the best thing you can hope for if to condition him to expect you to always do a certain type of throw, and then do something else and catch him off guard. its mostly luck tho.

You can't tech if you don't fall over.

Fox should be able to shine or buffer roll away though. He can still DI behind you if he isn't fast enough.

you do fall over, just mash the control stick left or right and when he finishes lasering you on the ground you tech away.

Falco's dthrow on Fox doesn't work. I've seen people DI away + dtilt Falco out of his dthrow. bthrow is good, but mix it up.
