Project X Zone sequel creation thread gives me a lot of ideas so here's another potential sequel roster with a large roster of 70 characters (21 to each main company and 7 to Nintendo).
I'm not the biggest Project X zone fan, but I like the concept of a crossover between 3 big Japanese developpers. I like the idea of adding a 4th one and many people seems to want Nintendo, but what if we add Square instead as a main developpers and keep Nintendo as a bonus? Here's what my roster would look like. It's probably way too big and not really realisctic but here goes (Bold are newcomers)

I did long time ago my own roster for PXZ3 adding SNK and Arc System Works has a new company and a guest respectively because are my favorite elections for new companies, I would like to redo that idea a little. I was tempted to add Square Enix too but I think it would be a little more "bloated" that what is already, maybe in PXZ4(?. I tried to not double dip in franchises but in the companies that I don't know that much exceptuating some series like Sega or that just don't have too much series like SNK I required to do it.

The Dr. Kawashima in PxZ3 would be an AI program modeled after / in collaboration with the real-life neurologist and the AI's purpose would be as a security program who deliberately stalls intruders with devilishly tricky concentration exercises but then one day the AI gets hijacked by the bad guys and so the heroes have to fight for their lives within the concentration exercises and so the rogue AI takes the heroes to a level based on World 1-1 in the original Super Mario Bros. except now the heroes have to conctrate more than they ever have and then there's a climactic showdown against the rogue AI and yes it's exactly as ridiculous as it sounds

Luigi jumps into Mario's hands, and the Bros. bounce up to attack. Luigi falls first, then the Bros. bounce like balls, finishing with Mario spinning on the enemy like a top.
Right
Chopper Bros. & Knockback Bros.
[Effect: N/A]
Luigi uses his hammer to hit Mario like a golf ball multiple times, finishing with Mario rapidly swinging his hammer.
Up
Swing Bros. & Cyclone Bros.
[Effect: N/A]
Mario swings Luigi towards the enemy; after Luigi bounce back, Mario catched him and the two spin towards the enemy as Luigi swings his hammer

Fire Flower & Thunder Jump Punch
[Effect: Stun]
Mario buries Luigi with a hammer and then uses a Fire Flower to hit the enemy multiple times, while Luigi travels undergorund and surprises the enemy with an electrified uppercut.

Negative Zone

Luigi uses the Negative Zone to distract the enemy while Mario rushes in with several power-ups. The enemy is completely frozen in place until the Negative Zone begins to shrink.

Finally finished my Project X Zone 3 roster. There are fewer newcomers than I initially planned because I realized just how hard it is to keep all the veterans I like while maintaining a mildly realistic amount of characters. Unpopular opinion but I kept the number of Nintendo characters to a minimum because I'd rather have the main participants be the main focus rather than a guest company.

Looking at a Project X Zone 2 playthrough, and so out of boredom decided to make a list of characters from the first game and Namco x Capcom that should've returned for this game:

For as monotonous as the gameplay can be as a whole, I can say that I at least prefer Project X Zone 2’s combat system to Project X Zone 1’s combat system. Makes me wish the duology got a rerelease on Switch where PxZ2’s combat system is used across both games.
