Haha it's not my fault i can't get more smashers to come over and play due to age differences. I'll try inviting YoshQ over to my house in about a month or so when I'm not as busy with work.

I live in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. YoshQ lives in Eau Claire as well but I'm unsure on where Quaz lives.

If you were thinking of trying to play the full build of pm at my house or something, my mother is very strict on people coming over that she doesn't know. She is very overprotective and stuff and doesn't like people that are 20 or something coming over to play smash with st and I. Lol. She only has that age restriction due to st and I being 15. :phone:
Nah, I live in Illinois and I know my parents would not let me travel to another state to play a video game, haha. It sucks that you don't have a lot of people to play with.

i'd love to apply to be a tester, but my gamebridge is being stupid.

i have to use vmware with windows xp in order to use it, and when i record it comes out all choppy.

anyone know how to fix this bs? or should i just buy a recorder that will work with windows 7 64?

Bowser can approach just fine. I could sit down and make a laundry list of moves and tactics, but the reality is that you can make it up as you go along and react to whatever the situation needs. Your options are that diverse.

Also, JC I noticed the lack of Bowser vids from Zenith, even though I did play him in a number of good matches. I guess I managed to miss all the recording opportunities lol
Yeah I'm not sure how that happened. I didn't record any Legion-only matches though, I hardly got anything with Spam Arrows because he insisted on using broken unfinished characters *cough Pit cough*, and I stopped recording Dark Pch matches after a while because he hung around playing P:M for so long and I didn't have the hard drive space for it. Regardless, we need to get some good ones of your Bowser. This weekend hopefully.

It says you're from Montreal Quebec. I live around Montreal. If you need a Project M sparring partner, there's me. Also, if I manage to get in the backroom after I show my PSA work, maybe you'll get a chance to play full build, no promise though, but a man can dream.

Speaking of which, I'm going to my best friend's place Friday, and I'll used his SD slot to test what I did.
Why don't you send Kage a pm (in case he doesn't check this thread) and see if he would play P:M with you regularly. Let's just say, that would be big bonus points on your application ;)

Y'know your channel still says it's Brawl+ videos?
Oh ****, so it did... :embarrass:

That's the worst embarrassed-face emoticon on the internet btw. Seriously Smashboards...

As soon as the patch is finished I'm gonna start hosting tourneys. Until then, just keep your eye out for Melee tourneys around here. I bring Project M to most of them.

Any time you wanna come up I'll try to get as many people as possible together.

PMed Kage. Hopefully, I'll get another player in my circle. I mean right now, the other player I got is in training, lol.

Edit: SHOTTYGURU, thank you, your support is appreciated :). You too Monk.

I believe it is around the middle/tip of the sword.
Alright awesome. The vBrawl one was ********. Even when I should have landed it, it never worked. I think in my year or so of playing I landed the spike less than 3 times. Then again.. I wasn't particularly focused on hitting it.

I think I'm going to be able to record some matches pretty soon. Gonna try to get at least 1 video of each character.

@ iLink, to answer you question about zair, it's not that the hitbox has been decreased in size, it's just the timing is different and the mount of time zair is out is also decreased, due to the physics. Getting both hits requires a good sense of spacing, but really the first hit is all you need in PM.

I know that the physics basically let it be out for less time but it just seems like the hitbox is a tad smaller, might just be me though.

EDIT: **** ya just found my serial key for my capture card that I lost like a year ago.

I've got a question that may or may not be stupid.
To apply to be a playtester is tournament experience something crucial to have?
As in, if you don't have tournament experience you shouldn't even bother?

I don't think I'd actually be accepted but nothing ventured nothing gained. No risk no reward(unless you're meta knight using tornado.)
I just figured I'd ask.

No, it's not required, but it goes a long way if you do have it.

Think of it as an actual job application - someone can get hired even if they have 0 job experience, but people with experience in the field (or even just job experience in general) will stand a much better chance at being hired. The person with no job experience will really have to stand out to the employer in other ways if he or she wants to beat out the people with experience.

Same principle: tourney experience isn't necessary, but you have to really set yourself apart from the tourney-experienced by some other means (being able to code is a good example) otherwise there's very little reason to select you over the tourneygoers.

Ya that makes sense.
Unfortunately, I have no knowledge of coding except what I have from modding EXE6. That's not even really coding. Just changing some numbers in hex editor lol. -__-
Would even trying be a waste of time then? if my chances are below 5% then I won't bother.

Ya. I hated the people on TREZ though. Their intelligence level was reminiscent of an 11 year autistic child. But it's Megaman. One of the many games in this world completely wrecked by its own fanbase.
"Burai is so brokd bcuz lock on break that isn't possible to get around bcuz idk and (for sf3)SA/Parabody dun exitz."
less Link Power than anyone else is apparently a buff or something. Lolrogue. 400 LP. -sigh-

If you play EXE still you should play me sometime.

I wish I could play anyone really. lol

Wanna see how my "pm exclusive" Fox works (I've been playing him in melee too but whatever) against other people.

And can't you just, idk, shoot a buster shot at rouge form and break the mu barrier thing? /Mega

Rouge is makeup. Just sayin' xD

Yes. Yes you can. Also, Rogue's ability to only tribe on to cancel stun once along with his single IFB to break a potential TF stunning Mega/Giga (Gemini's ability to be run in like... 4+ copies with blank cards and different versions make that not enough. Pegasus hurts pretty badly too.) makes him even more fragile than he would initially be with his limited HP.
Also, with Rogue's Maximum of 400 LP he cannot run side select or anything aside from HP/Para panel (Unless he's Zerker.) thus making him slower than normal tribes. This coupled with his inability to use Megas once's he's tribed on (assuming you're a real man and use Indie Proof.) makes his offensive capabilities even more limited.

Maximum of 2490 HP when Tribe King and stun lock folders are running around. Lol. All of this is SF2 obviously. SF3 he was significantly buffed but not to the point of being retardedly OP'd (as is the popular belief of many little children. Probably the ones who belong to the same school of thought as that one kid who said Ike is broken because of his final smash (lolwut?)) Rogue was made monotone and repetitive in SF3 because he was placed into a metagame that was sword-centric. Basically his main strategy became SWORDFIGHTERSWORDFIGHER10swordfighter

What?

ontopic/

Last Jcaesar stream I heard some Link talk... The same conversation I've been hearing for a while. Jcaes, Link's your best char "lol". Then I heard something along the lines of Links broken. I couldn't tell if it was a joke. So, is link really looking that good? I've heard talk otherwise as well.

So anyone In the know with link at this point? Anything planned?

No, Link's not broken. Yes, Link is JCz's top performing character by complete random happenstance. Yes, Link is looking really good right now. No, he's not spacey good.

IMO Link's great, he's like melee Link but tweaked just right so he's a lot better.

For example, ftilt doesn't have like 10 seconds of startup anymore, upsmash links better, he has more range, the arrows don't have to be charged a lot, even uncharged they go a decent distance, I think bombs are closer to 64 bombs, or at least the can be dropped without exploding more easily, and the boomerang is back to how it's supposed to be, hitting on the way back, among other subtle things.
