Oh, that match SB posted reminded me. How reliable is Mario's hybrid Fair? It looks like you (Strong_Bad) didn't have any trouble nailing it at the end and I'm curious (since I don't have PM obviously) if it's fairly easy to manipulate the timing for which part you want.

lmao, I suppose I'll have to hear from others or see for myself when this eventually sees a release. I trust that it operates properly.

Probably a stupid question, but are any characters going to be getting back their instant ADA spikes like in 64? I personally would love to see Ness with an instant ADA. As far as I remember, in melee, only Falco and Marth have instant ADA spikes.

EDIT: This is on topic because we're discussing ness right? OK!!!!!

Falcon would become God Tier if he had his 64 Dair back. It's like a sex kick but in spike form and powered by viagra.

I think it'd be awesome if Ness had his 64 Dair though. Also, there's a chance that some suggestions to speed up Yoshi's Fair has been accepted.

That's what I was thinking: that the frame count would work out for that situation especially seeing as one would desire to have a kill move out and up front first thing. I think the best way to demonstrate where the property swap occurs would be showing which frame in the animation it occurs, but I think it's fine.

That made me laugh, OT, i don't think it would be a good idea to give anyone instant spikes, it's just not...right

If you guys are considering Yoshi's 64 Fair, you might also want to consider DK's 64 fair as well. They're pretty much identical in respect to eachother.

I'm sure you could do something like add a small delay onto DK's fair similar to Marth's dair since DK's fair has a pretty disjointed range from a point of balance.

DK doesn't need 64 Fair to be good though. As much as I like 64 Fair, he doesn't need that when he has RAR Bair among other options + the Melee stuff he's getting back.

His fair is kinda crappy.

But not as crappy as his side-b and down-b. Any plans on those?

Down B isn't crappy, you're not using it right if you think it's crappy. Side B is highly situational, but not crappy either, it hits shields hard and meteors pretty hard too.

With DK, I meant like the duration of his F-air. It seemed like the longest F-air in Melee; I don't even remember if you could SH one.

I say stick with Melee F-air for Mario. I'm not sure if it was the physics of meteor smashes in Melee, but the ridiculous amount of hitstun is fun to play with.

Btw, are you guys going to replace all the hitsounds of Brawl with the ones in Melee? IE Marth's non-sweetspot aerials

I feel that DK's Fair could be partly sped up.

And they'll have an optional sound pack with the release hopefully. I prefer the sword sounds in Melee so much more too.

I feel that the Ice Climbers (or at least Popo) should have the knockback of their aerials and smashes increased from Brawl. I'm specifiaclly talking about Dsmash, Fsmash, Bair, Fair, and Uair. I don't know why, but their nerf in KO power made them feel like they were dependent too much on their infinites, Icicle spam, and desynced Blizzard usage.

Also, Squall hammer vertical velocity from button mashing should be almost doubled to match Melee's.

Is it possible to code Falcon's dash attack's momentum to carry over even when its done? Because Falcon was the only one who was able to instant wall jump out of it since the momentum carries him off the stage.

I just saw this while browsing for an example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UjPmU-6TAC0 edge cancel to instant walljump

So in brawl you were able to grab the ledge if you aren't looking at it which you couldn't do in melee. This was one of the only things in brawl I liked. Will this be in melee 2.0?

IIRC, reverse ledge grabbing can only happen on ascension (when you double jump backwards or Up B to sweetspot backwards). It can't happen if you are falling.

You can only grab it backwards when upB'ing now. At least, that's what I remember Falco400 saying.
