I still don't understand what's broken about QDWJ. It's not like you'll get a walled stage more than once in your typical set unless your opponent is an idiot and can't pick stages, OR if they get a similar advantage from it...

Some say that it should be nerfed because it's too rewarding and too allegedly easy (allegedly because I don't play Ike so I don't know exactly how hard it is) to perform.

Moral of the story: Edgeguarders, get better.

My only problem with ike really was how much shield stun ike's fair does to the point where i couldnt even shield grab a poorly spaced fair.

Personally, I love the way Ike's NAir is and have changed my control scheme to use it properly. I would be extremely sad if it was replaced with a sex kick as a solution to the problems mentioned above.
Quick light kick into sword spin would be a solution I've thought about before. Like frame 4 a weak kick comes out as he readies the sword into which the kick links. He's right handed I think? Have the kick be with his left leg for the animation to make sense.

Better initial dash is a must though. Keep his bad slow moves as powerful as they are and just give him better movement/baiting options.

Like I'm telling you specifically to do these things or something.

That NAir sounds cool, but I still think that proposal and an improved dash are unnecessary. If a mediocre player like me can take games off of players like Fly, Lucien, and Kels, then I think my character is fine.

(By the way, I'm not kidding when I say I'm mediocre - at Midwest locals for Melee, I usually place 9th or 7th out of ~25 people. My successes in Project M are not reflected in Melee at all.)

Bowser is strictly faster than he was in Melee. His physics and walk/run speed are the same, but he has a faster jumpstart, down-B, and several faster and less laggy moves.

Edit: Actually I just checked and there are some minor differences to his physics between Melee and P:M, but for the most part they actually look faster in P:M. Like his gravity and fall speed are the same, but his fast fall speed in faster. His run speed appears to be slightly faster as well. And his jump physics, but that may just be compensation for the 1 frame momentum delay.

Can you please post them in the results thread on Smashmods as well?

Is SilentWolf coming to FC? He appears to be the West Coast equivalent of Chillin so I'm curious to see how they compare.

What's wrong with Picto? I thought they revamped it to make it better?

It's still a dumb stage because of the bad layouts, the wind, the springs... like, it's better- but still a stupid stage >_>

Pirate Ship is just... I don't even

But whatever.. FC and their rulesets, nameaan? lol

For GPM, we used a very conservative 11 stage list consisting of:

Starters:
BF, FD, PS2, SV, YS
CounterPick:
Skyloft (singles), FoD (singles), DL64, Dracs, PS1, GHZ, SSE:Jungle (doubles), Rumble Falls (doubles)

3 stagebans

Worked amazing. The smoothest run tournament ever.
The only thing I would change would be to remove skyloft and put Warioware or something, because NO ONE picked skyloft, and everyone banned it.

Pirate ship is my favorite stage now that nothing on it kills you. Picto is hardly an issue.

Skyloft was actually a favorite here. Its really not bad with the fix to slants.

I just installed this game and it's really fun. A lot of my friends dislike it though because it's different :( So we end up playing regular brawl.

Your friends play regular brawl? They might be defective, should probably return them. Unless you've voided their warranty, then you're just ****ed.

The problem with thinking like that is that in melee, you are required to use one of the characters that people have been playing against for about 11 years now. Before P:M, which is relatively new, nobody had played against this Ike. He's faster almost all around than brawl Ike, and he's never existed in a melee environment. In other words, nobody really knows how to play against Ike:M like they know how to play against every good character in melee. There really arent many well known counter-Ike strategies like there are counter-spacies and counter-jiggs and counter-peach strategies and counter-everyone-else-in-melee stategies (except low tiers, who are largely bad characters that don't need entire strategies devoted them). If you really are, as you say, a mediocre player, then your success in P:M is easier to attribute to the lack of a "counter-Ike metagame" than an unnecessarily good character.

you're still a bad stage >: C
I know, people get distracted with the gorgeous aesthetics and spend too much time playing with the stage itself.

That said, Gameclucks videos are (slowly) going up on my Youtube channel onto this playlist.

They'll be semi unorganized and I might miss some player names until Daze and I can figure it all out.

I just played this game for 10+ hours with my Brawl friends and didn't sleep a wink. They're hooked. You should invest in better friends.

I agree. Every Brawl friend I've played this with has had just as much fun with this as they do with Brawl. A few of them complain about going into Free Fall after an air dodge, though, because they can't use Air Dodges in the way they're used to using them.

Project M feels much smoother to me as well. Melee feels clunky and unresponsive to me. But then I do play a hell of a lot more P:M than Melee.

Whichever game you play more of will feel better, usually.

Although I transition from Melee to P:M better than P:M to Melee.

Also the gap between the two is likely to steadily decrease as more progress is made with the game.
