But yeah, Daz, i'm more involved in the Brawl community atm. i've hit up the hold for a few meleefests here and there but still have yet to enter a Melee tourney. With Demo 2.1 being released though i wanna play as much PM as possible :reverse:

oh & i don't think we've officially met yet but i think i saw you and your girl with a couple of the melee guys some months ago (could be wrong)
Hmmm.. never brought my gf to stronghold yet, (and probably never will.. she'd probably get bored and want to go home.. plus i wouldn't be too thrilled about a bunch of nerds looking at more than just their magic cards if you know what i mean lololol) so probably not lol. And I only started being active in the community like ~a month or so ago lol.

Anyways, my skype is xdazee if you ever wanna hit me up to play some friendlies at stronghold :p I have recording power now too so yeah haha :p

Do you mean relative to the rest of the controller or to the other face buttons?
Cause if you're talking about the face buttons, it's been there for more than 20 years.

This is a public service announcement for Lucarios.

If you hit with a dash attack at higher percents, stop using smash attacks, they will not connect. Cancel into an aurasphere, cancel that with a shield, cancel that shield with a jump and do an aerial instead.

It depends on the enemy's DI and falling speed, too. Like, dash attack -> dsmash can work on fastfallers at high percentages, and dash attack -> usmash can work at high percentages if the opponent DIs above you. Canceling with aura sphere is definitely fine and often one of the better things you can do, though.

Ike gets eaten alive by fox... honestly, just slaughtered (in my experience). Also, be smart and ike doesnt actually have much... I was watching a tourni earlier today and an ike won(I think). People were being very impatient when fighting him and got punished for it. Ike gets exposed when fighting intelligence.

The XML determines where the file locations for replaced content are. If you have the Skyloft stage file on your SD, then maybe your XML doesn't have a file directory to replace Hanenbow. Although if you downloaded 2.1, then I'm pretty sure the XML it comes with should replace Hanenbow.

You also said the download links to 2.0? I just tried it and it had 2.1. Maybe you should try again?
yeah it links to 2.1 now but... i dunno... i got 2.0... i'll try redownloading, thanks=)...


wow that new controller is gonna make aerials harder for me...

Yeah, instead of moving your thumb down to use the c-stick, you have to move it up!

It might even be more convenient to use your right index finger! Convenience? Blasphemy!

As for Ike, the reason people thinking he is broken is because they're treating him like his brawl counterpart. You just have to understand that he's basically marth now with higher knockback but more easily punishable. You can almost always grab him out of his >B approaches, and you just have to have good spacing and patience for his aerial approaches.

I find Wolf has an easy enough time with Ike as well, he has a hard time against a good blaster game.

I don't think she's broken, but she's still very good and even though I'd like to just go DDD/Pit/Lucario (really just DDD, but I'm not sure how feasible that is), I could fall back on her in case some match-ups don't work out the way I think they will, which I'm sure will happen every now and then.

I am glad to see Melee Final Destination, Melee Pokemon Stadium, Dream Land 64, Melee FOD, Melee Yoshi's Story and some of the other stages you included. I don't know what other stages you are planning on putting in but I think you should put the full Hyrule Temple with Melees scale in the game. Yes I know it isn't worth crap battle wise because of all the walls but I think it is important to have for practicing perfecting you recoveries or just testing other things out. You know just for a screw around purposes primarily. I also feel Corneria is a must to have although the level does have its flaws. Finally I think possibly including an edited Kongo Jungle and an Edited Jungle Japes would be neat. Don't get me wrong though all the stages you included thus far are great!!! Also man Nintendo should be happy since by doing this project I can guarantee your guys' team alone are increasing the sales of Brawl and of Wiis. Because personally after playing Brawl I did not ever intend to own the game or even a Wii for that matter because of how disappointed I was at Nintendo for destroying my favorite game series of all time. Though now because of this project alone I am going to likely buy a Wii and Brawl. Great job and keep up the awesome work :)

melee pokemon stadium was there from vBrawl, though... (except for the stupid brawl windmill that they moved into the background...)
and full temple is in the latest version of the demo...

Oh well my bad its been awhile since I have played any Brawl or modded Brawl I just played it the first week it came out then never played it again. So I don't recall whats all in it haha. I also haven't played Project M either because I have been stuck in a Melee world assuming that nothing could save brawl. I do recall though the Temple in Melee was bigger compared to the temple in Brawl and apparently it was because the Characters were bigger in brawl or something but regardless I was just wondering is its size more like brawls or melees. Also I just thought they only had a segment of the temple as a stage in Project M.

Hyrule Temple is Melee sized in Project M
the "segment" of temple you recall is now a completely new stage called Skyloft, both Melee Temple and Skyloft are included in Demo 2.1. I suggest you give Project M a try.

@Sheik discussion. I wouldn't say Sheik was broken in melee she was just instantly disabled the viability of Everyone below B-tier for years. She still seems to occasionally even disable the viability of Marths and Falcons but that is still debated to this very minute. With that said I think the hybrid grab is sort of...meh. Would've been better off just making it the PAL imo. Sheik still feels like sheik but her missing NTSC Dthrow does hurt her sometimes. Still she has a Bthrow setup now and an extremely buffed DownB.

Definitely doesn't sound like a return to Brawl hacking/P:M development, but I commented on it saying I'd love to help. CSS song cycles sound awesome.
