There's no way UBrawl will compare to P:M. Hell, no other smash will ever compare, even if it's a melee port with online (take note of the horrible tablet controller if you don't believe that last one).

My hype for SSB4 is only for what characters they add? I know the game will suck otherwise. They'll also likely remove characters, I can't imagine them keeping all 39 Brawl characters and adding say 11 newcomers. IMO jigglypuff, lucario, PT, Toon Link, Snake, Sonic are likely candidates to be removed.

P:M is the SSB4 that we all want, not what Nintendo will give us.

My opinion of Smash4 is it will be better then Brawl but still worse then Melee and P:M and 64.

Eh, I reserve judgment on Smash 4 until it comes out. I'm not going to set myself up to hate it or love it.

Although, Brawl allows us to hack our Wii and mod the hell out of it. Dunno if UBrawl can do better than that.

Personally, I wouldn't so much be bothered by the floatiness if it didn't have hitstun cancelling, arbitrary angles/kbs you can't DI, Metaknight, grab release BS, etc.

Just wondering, are there any grab release abuses in Melee at all? I legit don't know, though afaik all GR animations are the same except Bowser and DK.

Wii U Smash will probably either be Super Barlw (air tripping + mandatory items + only coin barlw) or it will be somewhere between Melee and Barlw as far as competition is concerned.

I have a strong belief tripping will be gone. EVERYONE complained about it even casuals on gamefaq forums, I'm sure Sakurai is aware of the public outcry about tripping.

The idea of trippping on moves like bananas was good, the random tripping on moves and running was awful.

Is it Brawl thunder? IIRC the melee thunder was pretty f'n weak, brawl thunder actually got you the kill at the top, melee unless they were like at 120% you could DI straight sideways and live.

You're also viewing Brawl thunder in the environment where falling speed is ridiculously lower than in Melee, which contributes to being able to kill off the top.

Idk man, if you do it right, you can combo usmash to thunder and kill at 70-80 sometimes, I've seen it plenty of times.
