I'm gonna miss having to counter ledge stalling though, I had some great projectile ideas with Diddy and Link to set up a spiderweb of hitboxes rainin on'em. Junebug and Lazaron failed to utilize such against Chu, M2 on the other hand if fully invincible would require you taking the ledge (which Hax made a big post about vs Jiggly after M2K fair stalled him to win, in which he says Falcon is one of the few characters that can't do a ledge wavedash fast enough or something) http://smashboards.com/threads/cliffhangers.305519/ This isn't the exact post let me find it

I would thank brawl ike, when you get down to it, he's the OG with a built-in limit to ledge grabs

they were smart enough to know how ike could camp the ledge, but somehow so narrow-sighted that they didn't notice how EVERYONE ELSE could too

That is a ridiculously cool idea and I hope that it is added to PM so that he can afford to lose the ridiculous distance on his up-b and the skewed risk/reward created by the way his invul/powerful hitbox/no landing lag work on his current version. Just make the bounce not instantly interruptible and it's good

There was some harsh moderation performed very recently and their boards dislike being moderated by outsiders.

Our Smash 64 moderator quit this morning because he couldn't take it anymore, that's how bad it gets.

Some of them dislike me because I was looking after their boards a few months ago. And unfortunately some of them still do.

Thankfully some of them are supporting me though since I'm probably the only current moderator who can do things there without an outrage happening...

the game has been out for 20 days. it's not even out yet outside of japan. why do people need to make tier lists SO EARLY

I made a tier "list" sort of impressions post, but never would I actually rank characters so finely.

But like

Literally every character there is wrongly placed

Why is Zelda not bottom tier? A character who was 2nd worst in the game who recieved basically nothing but nerfs should realistically be still bad.

Edit: marth and lucina in d tier.

the most exciting part about early tier lists is speculating which one is just scrub-friendly and will get washed up immediately, like how ike, rob + kirby were in brawl

I'm guessing DHD, I feel like the reason everyone gets caught by their projectiles so far is b/c all their angles are a bit weird to understand. possibly also bowser, if only b/c I feel like DK might slowly envelop the "kill shields, abuse rage" gameplan a bit more efficiently long-term

Because clearly developers design their characters to go along with a predetermined tier list. And clearly online matches with roll-happy people on 1 stage is the best way to figure out the list.

Tiers have no point. They can literally only lead to to stupidity and single-issue-wonking. To anyone that might try to reply to this with "Oh, they're useful for generating discussion-" Many discussions are mistakes, starting from when they existed. Stop it.

I don't understand why people try to shoehorn dead horses that were deliberately discredited back into "relevance." Why be a pariah over nothing?

Besides, talk is cheap; just picking a "high-tier" character is going to mean NOTHING against someone who actually knows how games and the characters in them work, who will then turn the 'strengths' of that "broken char, uwwaaaaharesgajksglnerf /wangst" into more ways for the scrub to get humilated.
