Ffs when are they going to institute a one stock ruleset for this campy as all hell game.

That's a bit of a rushed statement. Most games don't go that long and in the first round, and that Villager player was primarily using projectiles. Villagers in the future may have to be more aggressive.

What you DIDN'T see is that that same Palutena was later decimated by Little Mac, who's a strong independent woman who don't need no projectiles.

Even so, if this game gets patches in the future, I'm all in favor for Palutena to get some extended cool down on that shield move.

That too. I think the commentators put it well in a later vid by saying that Palutena is probably going to be great in the hands of a player who knows all of her match ups. I think she might be too good, but it's too early to tell. There are some characters that do well against her right now (like Little Mac), but we'll see if that holds.

Honestly that Match is slow as balls, but it's not all that bad. Even though it's zoning, there's still interactions going on.
It's not like Brawl MK timeouts where one player is abusing the character's unfair qualities to avoid all interaction.

This is almost like Jiggs V Young Link in Melee....

I still think smash 4 should have 2 stocks either way.

Jiggs vs ylink still doesn't take nearly so long. Neither character has anywhere near the ease of camping that palutena, villager, link, pacman, and megaman have.

edgehogging is literally just "I don't want my opponents to be able to recover but I also don't want to have to actually try to stop them"

Sorry, but I'm inclined to disagree with you guys. Palutena literally needs the tools she has because her moves are way too laggy. She's light, all her kill options (smashes) have insane lag on them and even her weak moves have a fair amount of lag. She can't properly get in on villager because there's always a projectile flying at you.
In all honesty the Villager seems to be the main problem in this matchup, why does every move in his kit need to be a projectile?

I do agree that she needs the tools and I'm not blaming the character for how the matchup is played. If anything, it's a mix between Villager's insane tools and Aerolink being Aerolink.

It does though? Even if you send someone offstage and know that they can't make it back if you edgehog, if you take the ledge too quickly and the opponent has active hitboxes in their recovery, your ledge invincibility could run out and you can fail the edgeguard.
