Why do people think comparing <thing> to Brawl is an insult?

To be fair, it's not exactly a secret that Hungrybox hates Brawl. So saying that he'd rather play Brawl than PM means he hates PM to an astronomical extent. At least that's the way I see it.



I'd rather play Brawl than hang out in the Smash 4 sections.

How does move staleness work in PM? Is it the same as Brawl, was it changed to match Melee, or is it a mix between the two?

Brawl+ wasn't able to modify it to be like Melee's at the time so they removed stale moves completely, Project M later at 1.0 or 2.0 was able to and made a blog post on SM which ill fetch

There is one thing though, something about it's not EXACTLY Melee in that the latest move only stales AFTER the hit or something minor @DrinkingFood ?

So I just finished the glorious serial Worm, roughly 22 novels worth of material. I don't know what to do, so much free time just opened up.

I should finished CowBoy Bebop, stopped after ep. 17 because life happened. Maybe I'll watch Free or just read some of my piles of books I'm stockpiling.

Good ish. Worm is gdlk, even if it is an acquired taste.

I'm so late, but I would recommend finishing it. I actually really enjoyed that anime.

For the HBox topic, who even cares what he thinks lol. The mod will still get developed and hundreds/thousands will still play and enjoy it.

It was changed from Brawl to be more like Melee's, specifically how different it is I'm not sure. I'll have to look into this one day.

I'm sorta afraid it wont ever feel as natural or organic as melee falcon. That sounds like a lame thing to say but part of the magic of doing cool things in melee was like "damn, I just did something cool and creative, using my tools to the maximum in a way that could never have been intended." and even though I love PM to death and enjoy it so much, part of that is missing, its like "yeah, that move has a weird hitbox we put in there for people to figure out how to use." Its a petty complaint all the same but it still hits me sometimes.

Maybe I'm just afraid PM doesn't have the same soul, and that it will die out eventually.

you're right, however, in saying it's not a very noteworthy romance (though I still enjoyed that aspect immensely)

sakurasou moreso sticks out for actually maintaining a theme based around a realistic struggle for the main character, which most anime (and especially most popular ones), simply fail to do.

I hope this doesnt turn into a trend. I really hate it when you are striving to get good at a game but theres a vocal minority of proffesionals that are making me feel insecure for playing it. I know it sounds stupid, but that is how I feel. Same thing happended with brawl and I felt frustrated at times...

Honestly, who gives a flying ****? The scene for this game is as big as YOU make it to be, not for some johning Melee pro.

@ KuroganeHammer stale moves match melee. However they do not stale until the animation is over. In melee they would stale instantly. This is why things like DK's upB does massive amounts of damage.

Hey have this happened to anyone before and if so how do you fix it?

So when I boot up PM via hackless 2gig SD card through the stage builder it loads up normally and my music plays just fine but after I get a match in it starts to bug out and such and goes to a warped version of the default stage music and sometimes after a match it freezes up and if it doesn't do that the winner background goes to the default brawl one instead of the PM pitch black one. Also when I pick Roy or Mewtwo for a match it just freezes and doesn't start a game? This started just happening like a few days ago from Roll Tier 3 but it was just random after I put some new songs on before the event and I played on my PM setup on friday at a Smashfest and it worked normally but yesterday it was bugging out hella?

take the files off the SD card, delete them all from the SD card, put them back.

See if that works.

If not, then format the SD card then re-add the files back

One of those will end up fixing that problem.

I tried deleting the files and put them back with all of my music same thing happen but get this I deleted the recent songs I put on before this started happen recently and it's playing just normally so I'm guessing some those songs are corrupt or it's corrupting PM since i'm so close to the 2 gig mark IDK. I will slowly put the new songs one there on by one and so I can narrow down which one is doing the corrupting.
