So, how long before someone backports bowser's 3ds style onto brawl/project M now that he's "top tier"?

I'm... pretty sure it's the stage doing that? I swear, I've seen that before on other slopes too from time to time, but not as silly as that scenario

it's the world's slowest wobbling

e: yeah no definitely the stage. good thing nobody uses metal cavern otherwise we'd be in a pickle

Moves I mean.

Drop kicks for days.

psuedo cartwheel Nairs

dat stuff.
That will probably be done within a month of the game coming out, with multiple poor-quality attempts before then. But this would be done regardless of whether or not he won a tournament.

I don't know if it's bowser or the game in general, but SSB4 looks... pretty fast. it might be bowser, though, because damn do those shields die like nothing

I hope it's just that shields in general are like SSB64. I would play a graphically updated SSB64 on my 3ds, I am down for that

that kirby nair tho

he's like a ballerina. also I'm noticing that turnaround in SSB4 is pretty quick, at least with bowser. maybe they actually paid attention to complaints? who knows

If Bowser alone is making the whole game look fast, then what does that say about the rest of the game? ...Just something to think about.

Thank you based PMBR.

I may have to give this character a try in Smash 4 after all. You know that Bowser Bomb is my favorite move in Project M.

You also gotta consider the playstyle they were going for. Larry and the other dude weren't playing as keepaway as Hbox and Zero were in the invitational. Heck, I even noticed some whiffed combo opportunities, but besides that, their punishes were pretty good for what they knew of the game.

I've been saying this since like forever, I'd be down for 64 2.0 HD.

And plus its Bowser, cant wait till we see some decent gameplay of a fast-er character.

And before you say "But Bowser's faster in Smash 4" cuz I know you're thinking it...

Hes still not that fast, from what ive seen hes like around Ganon's speed in Melee. (Like without the Bizzaro wavelands and such) A lot of the cast is still probably a good deal faster potentially, plus that probably wasnt Bowser's max speed.

on the flipside, though, bowser has killing power up the wazoo. even back during the best buy demos, when it was well-known that nobody had anything in the way of killing moves, bowser was still killing at ~60%, sometimes even lower. how fast someone dies matters quite a lot in this game's pace

Shields are not like SSB64 because there's practically no shield stun. You do realize shield drops were fast in Brawl too, right?

To be honest I think shield drop should be in the area of PM lag. In Melee it's super laggy, but it's acceptable since wavedashing is a thing. That much lag without wavedashing would be awful.

I'm having my name changed to, "nameless.ez.™"
The, "ez.™" was more of a group name for some friends and me, I just happened to be the maker of it. I chose nameless because, at the moment, I can't think of a name for myself, and I always change and or have a different my name whenever I play a new and or different game.

I think this avatar goes well with the name to.

Gonna say it right now. When Smash 4 is played properly it looks a lot faster than when it's played poorly. That finals match, despite being between two high kill power characters, was pretty action packed. Also of note is that edgeguarding is gonna be a lot more interactive in this game so once people start actually learning it, it'll look better. I doubt Melee started by looking how it does now, I'm gonna let it grow.
Alternatively I just like the fact that it's a faster Brawl with anti-competitive junk removed so I can accept that too. Even if you can't follow up with combos all the time, increased hitstun and no dodging out of it greatly changes the meta. It means you can actively chase someone and they have to option-select right afterwards. It honestly sounds exciting, or at least more exciting than Brawl.

Also they made Luigi's dash attack suck people in so all hits connect with Knockback at the end. And he moves faster by a little bit. And his D-Throw now has set knockback if the CT 3DS Luigi movelist video will apply to the final version, and D-Throw sets up for free combos, and....Luigi just looks fun.
