Sometimes, you gotta ignore bleck. There were good sonic games. But there is also, a **** ton of bad ones. Like, almost every sonic game after SA2B was ****. Sonic Generations was alright tho.

anime is dumb

Nonono, I've read the manga up to chapter 85.
And I can definitively say that the direction the anime is taking is pretty **** right now. I could rant about it now if you like.

And Sonic Heroes was a pretty mediocre game. It kind of fun though.
So how is the manga so far then? *curious*

And my favorite Sonic game is probably SAB2, I spent years in the chao gardens.

Before I even beat the game, this had already become my life. I poured all of my heat and soul into those lil ****ers. When my first chao died, I nearly dropped a tear, but then I raged, turned off my console and become that sick freak who was obsessed about his passion.
Those were the good days

EDIT: PM should have chao gardens.

Well let me start off by saying that I'm generally fine with episodes 1-3. Most people complain that the anime cut off a lot of stuff, but I personally thought it was anything major. The censorship was insanely frustrating in episode 2 though, but at the time I didn't think anything of it.
Oh but episode 4. Episode ****ing 4.
The manga itself isn't all that great, it's a fun thriller/action manga at best with a bit of a shounen here and there. It's an interesting premise, but it isn't anything groundbreaking, but it's a fun read nevertheless. And it does have its moments. Tokyo Ghoul has plenty of interesting arcs here and there and the design choices they have sometimes is great.
Now the problem here is that Tokyo Ghoul is a pretty bloody manga. Its not like purposefully gory, but it uses blood whenever it feels like it. It adds flavor to certain scenes, and I can appreciate when they use it.
The anime throws that out the ****ing window for the sake of censorship. The pacing is also incredibly messy. The anime, for what it looks like right now, are doing some of the arcs all out of order. This messed up the pacing bad, because certain arcs were meant to be put before others. For example (I assume you know something about the arcs), the Mado arc was either moved or completely skipped (which is dumb because it's easily one of the better arcs of the entire arc) and the Gourmet arc was forward instead. The Gourmet arc takes some instances from the Mado arc, but of course since the Mado arc didn't happen yet they butchered parts of the Gourmet arc in the anime. From what it looks like, if they keep putting the arcs out of order, censoring more, and just skipping scenes entirely, I can't see Tokyo Ghoul becoming a decent anime at all.

As for the manga itself, it gets pretty interesting. Chapter 61 to I think chapter 64 or something is pretty awesome. You should read it.

Omg you let one DIE? :surprised: then... again.... I can't really talk (four of mine died). I would love Chao garden in PM, or even for it to appear in another sonic game.

Chao have hidden happiness stats, just like pokemon. I used to research on that **** back in the day.

Ranges from 1 to 100 iirc.

Each heart represents 1 happiness point. It takes a total of 50 to get a reincarnation instead of a death.

Hitting a chao drops its happiness by 20-30. (Which is ****ing brutal)

I have to agree with you on a lot of the things you've said. For starters the censorship is becoming unbearable atm, for what I've heard and what you already said, its a pretty bloody series. For them to censor it to such a degree.... is quite horrible. And I thought that they didn't skip the Mado, but only put the Gourmet arc before it. But it seems to have really messed up the pacing (seems like that). I was originally gonna watch the anime, but I might as well start reading the manga.

But enough about Tokyo, have you seen Akame ga kill?
Wrong, its diarrhea.

idk why they don't bring it back. Everyone locked that ish something fierce.

Die in silence
lol
I don't why either man, it was one of the best features in a sonic game.

I like that Akame ga Kill is faithful to the manga and there is absolutely no censorship. So yes, I am pleased.

Sonic Adventure 2 is too automated in its speed and those bad grinding sections, and the different gameplay styles are boring and worse than the original Adventure.

Adventure One let you go crazy with the spin dash and gave you more freedom even if it had some boring overworlds (didn't take long) and fishing (again, didn't take long). The bad parts of Adventure weren't shoved in your face as much as Adventure 2 loved to do.

Adventure 2 didn't really fix any of the flaws of the original, in fact it somehow made those flaws worse.

What was wrong with grinding?

Felt fine to me.

I can agree to tails/eggman's playstyles being lame, but I think they improved on the searching for knuckles at least. It felt better in 2 than it did in 1.

Didn't really have any gripes with sonic/shadow levels in either of them.
Crazy gadget was a bit too complex when I was young but it's easy now

The grinding stuff felt forced to me, and it was part of some sponsorship deal too. And then grinding kept appearing in later games as a central mechanic as if it wasn't enough already.

The treasure sections were worse because you couldn't find the emerald pieces in any order you wanted anymore, it had to be the right order to get the beeping which was annoying.

Also, the treasure levels were bigger which meant they took even longer to do. And you couldn't skip them like with the different stories in Adventure allowed you to. That's what I mean when I say they force the bad stuff on you much more than before.

I haven't played much sonic after sonic adventure 2, but I noticed it was in Sonic and the secret rings.

I don't know though, it felt natural in sonic adventure 2. Hell, Sky rail was one of my favorite places.

Now I definitely agree with not being able to find them in any order but I played it so much that I usually had an idea where they would spawn and get them even without that

I see what you mean by forcing it since you have to play through them. I never really found them to be tedious so it didn't bother me.

Why are we still talking about Anime and Sonic

We should talk about how we need a James McCloud skin for PM

Please PMBR.

I felt REALLY bad for lub, he doesn't deserve what he's going through. And Tatsumi was so stupid -_-
Yeah lub's my favorite character since he's the only other guy left. Though I don't remember Tatsumi ever being stupid.

I recently received an invite to buy the OnePlus One and now that I bought it, I think that I might receive a few invites to share in a few weeks. Assuming that I do receive invites to share, would anyone be interested in receiving an invite to buy the OnePlus One? http://oneplus.net/

So it's a smartphone being marketed with artificial scarcity to build hype?

What carriers does it come available with?

The most exciting part is that the tourny is in my home town! I didn't even know my immediate area had a local PM scene except for me and my friends and maybe a couple others that we didn't know about. Seems like theres a few more than a couple others out there. Looking forward to meeting them!

I literally just bought the G2 or I would be very interested. Sounds like a flagship killer.

EDIT: And is actually advertised as such lol

So I'm not a phone guy. Why is this better than other products in the market now?
