My store just got in a bunch of new third party GCN controllers.
While I would never trust the insides of them, the shells themselves are 1-1 identical.
Thinking of picking one up to swap my current first party black controller's insides into an orange shell.
My favorite controller was orange, lasted me for a good few years till our dog chewed it up :(

It's probably a quirk with how PK Flash connects because Link can be hit from behind by other projectiles.

Most stages in Smash are banned anyway.
I thought Sakurai himself actually said something about every stage in the Wii U version changes so it can be legal. Lemme go dig up the Stream.
*EDIT*
Checked. Yup.
It's roughly at 10:00-10:45

Hey guys, I'd like some opinions here.
So for those of you that don't know I run a weekly tournament series in eastern WA. We get a modest amount of entrants each week (about 15-25) and so far it has been a nice success.
I took a page from @ The_NZA The_NZA and am using a rotating map pool that changes every 5 weeks. I wanted to take this opportunity to experiment with a unique stagelist since I think as a small community we have the opportunity to do that and PM offers a lot of great stages:
5 starters- Dreamland, BF, Smashville, PS2 and (in an idea I got from @ Oracle Oracle ) replace Final D with Green Hill Zone as a starter and move FD to a counterpick.
This is a pretty drastic change so I figured I'd test the waters within my local community and see what they had to say about the thought of it. BAD IDEA. I got sooo much backlash and people were just downright really rude about the whole thing. I never thought my community would be so unsupportive. Basically said nobody is going to take me seriously, I don't want to be an outlier, etc. etc. I eventually caved and, while still running 5 starters, have kept FD as a starter.
Your guys' thoughts on this? Has anyone else ever tried something different as a TO and gotten so much backlash?

tl;dr: wanted to experiment with new stagelist, community threw a fit.

Like those ideas, Bryonato. I just wish I could get more people to come to my tournaments. The area we host at, is actually very popular - just not so much for Smashers. It's more traditional fighters like SF - and a place called "AllThatArcade" is where they want me to go.
It's like a two hour drive. Dammit. |:

I think you tried to change too big too fast (which is something I'm very consciencious of). I make a point with my map pools to change 1 neutral and 2 counterpicks at a time. Nothing too much more or less. If you had gone standard apex ruleset but picked the starters you liked, and switched two maps from that list to ones you liked (like switching lylat for Frigate Orpheon), there probably wouldn't have bene AS mcuh backlash.

You dont know backlash until you put poke floats on with a local community of stubborn donkeys
