Just finished watching some USFV matches, and DAMN did they have to nerf seth as hard as they did?
Fighting him was difficult sure, but with the shoryuken FADC nerf, his shoryuken nerfs, his crossup being nerfed, his hyakuretsukyaku (jesus man) getting nerfed, his invincibility frames during his shoryuken was nerfed, AND his tanden engine getting nerfed.... overkill. I'm probably gonna play seth just because no one else will (lol)
Sounds like you hate Akuma as well lol.Good, no ones likes Seth anyway. Low-life characters with every tool in the world are just obnoxious.
Makoto seems fine and the twins got buffed, so I'm satisfied.
I actually like Seth one of the only few characters I enjoy watching go off. I've seen the changes and the only thing they buffed for him was his far standing fierce being safer on hit and block and crouching strong faster and having more frames on hit and +1 on block as well a small buff to Ultra 2 so all the hits connect on air opponents and being less safe on block (still pretty unsafe). Outside of that someone on his changelist video summed it up nicely.
"Ultra Street Fighter IV: **** Seth Edition"
^THIS. I still feel like frame data isn't talked/explained as much as it should be for smash sadly. If there's one thing I want in smash 4 is please have a good record feature, I feel this is a overlook thing to competitive smash players in general and people arn't talking about this at all.Moves that are negative on block aren't exactly unsafe, remember that a lot of characters have pretty poor oos options and have to rely on a 7 frame grab, so if you have a quick jab for example you can be slightly negative on block and still be safe vs many characters.
