I'm glad Xrd is coming out on PS3 so I don't have to buy new sticks. I realize I'll have to some day, but damn they're expensive. The only problem I see in the future is whether the mjaority will be on PS3 or PS4... I'm sure it'll be PS3 because of its userbase... But we'll have to wait and see.

Yeah I guess. I'd prefer a packet right now, I hate singing in public.

I'm done with everything for the year in my comp class so I've spent the hour listening to most of Alive 2007.

Since today is so music centered, I'm going to ask: what kind of music do you all like.
Vidya game music.

Any HunterxHunter fans out there? Look at this piece of gold
I want to see a lightning Killua version too!

Btw, are they ever gonna get off of hiatus and actually finish the current story arc!? This is ridiculous..

I really liked this manga too

BASED NINTENDO I LITERALLY LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lets see.
I love metal. I listen to a lot of power metal, or old metal. But doom metal and atmospheric black metal are my huge weaknesses. By extension, shoegaze/blackgaze/post-metal/post-rock, seeing as these genres are all kind of amorphous. Witrr and Alcest are bread and butter bands for me. Consequently, I no longer think a song is long unless it's longer than 20 minutes.

I like like classic and 90's rock because that's what I grew up with.

I like J-pop/J-rock because "my life on anime" is currently 2 months 0 weeks 2 days 15 hours 45 minutes. I am a huge weeaboo. I'm learning Chinese, but I have every intention of learning Japanese afterwords. (Also I intend to finish learning Francais after spending three years studying it in high school. And to learn Deutsch. And at least one of my conlangs. I wish the creator of Tapissary still updated so I could learn that. Esperanto wouldn't be bad either.)

I like classical because the chaconne is a godsend to humanity. For the most part, BGM fits into here as well. KS had an amazing soundtrack that I still listen to regularly, for example (Rin4theWin). And Black is definitely my favorite Homestuck song.

I also like nightcore and other types of remixes. I love a good slam jam or smoke weed everyday remix. Very little actual electronica gets to me, however.

I generally hate everything on the radio. With very few exceptions, I hate Pop, Indie/Indie rock, Pop metal, Hip-hop, Rap, Country, etc. For the most part, if you're supposed to dance to it, I hate it.

I've been a guitarist for about five years, so music is a huge part of my life. I'm highly opinionated and sort of an *** sometimes. Don't talk **** 'bout mai waifu, don't talk **** 'bout my music, don't talk **** 'bout my fanfics and my ships, don't talk **** 'bout my conlangs. Ne me parlez pas sur ces sujets, s'il vous plaît. wo zhidao tamen de mingzi. yoswa ya ja'-ja'shojo'ikom ti ku ji saa'wu. /kaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaappa

I am like almost the exact opposite of you lol.

I love disco, French house, funk, big band, smooth jazz, and instrumental jazz-trip hop. I really dislike country, rap, and 'classic rock.' I generally don't like anything on the radio either, beside from one or two songs a year.

There's a few Japanese jazz bands/artists that I really like.Jabberloop and Jazztronik come to mind; those guys seriously have the most beautiful strings I've ever heard in a song.

I just started learning guitar a few weeks ago. It's pretty hard but somewhat fun, only thing that sucks is that a lot of my favorite songs are way too complicated to even think about playing for a few years.

Btw, you may like this song. It's technically dance but features heavy metal and baroque influences (the last part of the song being entirely baroque arpeggios) with the only dance vibes belonging in the beat. It has some unconventionally funky synths in the beginning as well that carry on after the first break.

Of course people will still complain about the GC controller being available just like people complained about Kinectless Xbox being available.

Because you see guys, it's up to companies to force the consumer to use whatever the hell they want us to use, giving us products we want is somehow against the spirit of innovation and capitalism. :applejack:

I'm cool with Daft Punk for the most part, actually.

It sounds as if you're doing it right, but if you ever think anything on the guitar is too difficult for you, then you probably don't have the right mentality anymore. The way I've always seen it, unless you really have something to learn for a very important reason in a very short amount of time, you should never practice. Practice makes it sound tedious. Music is an art; it's supposed to be fun to learn and play. I played for at least 2 hours a day for a couple years, but I almost never practiced. I had fun. It's like smash: if you're not having fun (or making money, I guess), then you don't have to do it.

I'd consider myself pretty a pretty good guitarist, but once I knew the basics, I didn't focus on practicing. To keep up the smash analogy, practicing is how you develop tech skill, and learning other people's music develops fundamentals (akin to learning how to ken combo from watching videos), but pushing yourself to the limits of your own music (character) by writing your own music (akin to playing against actual players) is how you become a musician (true competitor).

I am ranting way too much today.

No Mango or M2K, I'm surprised.

Still though, I'm astounded by the level of acknowledgement. I can see people getting upset over items, but you have to realize that this invitational also serves as a huge advertisement and that the audience for this will include casual players who would be the most interested in seeing these items in action. Besides, I'm most looking forward to the feedback from top players about how the game feels.

M2K has way too much negative PR behind him that's what I see and IDK about Mango. They only got 2 brawl players and everyone else is a melee head from the documentary or otherwise.

So Brawl players were right all along: The Smash Brothers documentary was an evil plan to have Melee replace Brawl in the public mind and erase them from existence.

Damn, that was well played indeed.

Yes, they've announced that the manga is returning on June 2 (next Monday).

I don't read the manga, but personally, this story is so good already and I haven't even seen what Gon and Ging do together, that it's totally worth the wait XD

Dude the State Of Brawl facebook group and certain players in the brawl scene post were all arguing and crying up a storm. I honesty don't blame them for feeling that way personally.

Also this about M2K keeping it real sadly and may contribute for him not being in the invitational.

Now I will probably have to buy a Wii U. This past year seems like some dream in regards to how good Smash/The community is getting treated. Also that new controller, it looks like it's good, and it'll probably be normal/decent price again. Is there any new thing on it besides the sticker? it's gotta have a longer cord right like the White (though the picture is just a photo shopped example)?

Soooooo glad I don't have to buy extra controllers. If you just gimme a Smash Wii U bundle with the adapter, I'll buy it in a second Nintendo.

I just realized, since they're adding gamecube compatibility again. This time they have the chance to do the right thing and add the option to light press everything rather than fullpress everything which they did with Brawl (by having the option in TAG customization screen). Even if Brawl made everything light press for the GCC (instead of hard press), you could hold your shoulders in while you do the reset trick (X+Y+start) to make it the same as hard press. So many Brawl players already take out their springs to mitigate the annoyance with hard press. They could also make it per trigger maybe of your settings for what you want which would be benign (and I'm hoping PM can hopefully do).

Light press (analog) was used most all of the time for every game, especially any that where released on multiple consoles. You jumped in Godzilla with light press, you swang with SpiderMan with lightpress, hard press and the sensitivity changing analog provides were only used for certain games. They weren't going to chose to make the action programmed on hard press for any of the other games because that would just be stupidly making it more difficult to press, except with Brawl for some reason (they were focusing on the modern controllers too much or something)

I really hope they will sell that GCN controller with the Smash logo on it. That controller is SEX.
They can even make the only way to get that controller to be to buy it with the adapter and I wouldn't care and still buy four of them.

Nintendo...actually listened? I was expecting this tournament to be nothing but "nobodies" and have very little to nothing to do with the competitive community. Suddenly there's a bunch of top players and casted by our most respected commentators?

And gamecube controller adapters?

Its like they want me to buy this game or something.
