any of you guys know what those banner / flags are called that are shaped like this:

You know, they're vertical and they hang them in old medieval houses to like, represent their family names/crest

Those same things you could customize in Diablo 3 as your flag thing the other players could click on. do they have a name???

I think you just described it. That would be a Coat of Arms, put onto/shown as a Banner.

Nintendo shut down wifi right before Mario Kart 8 was released.

Coincidence? Or Nintendo's desperate attempt to get people onto the new **** and away from the old favorites?

Yes, just a coincidence. They kept those servers running for god knows how long

It was taken down mostly because it was involved with GameSpy and that server was going down so hey get rid of everything with it.

While I'm playing, I occasionally get a shield input because of accidentally pressing ever-so-lightly on the L shoulder button. It usually happens while I'm going for aerial combat, which means I usually get an airdodge when I do it. Is there any way to turn the sensitivity down? Otherwise, how would I go about correcting the problem? I've tried playing with my finger off of L, resting just under it, but it feels too weird for me.

Does anyone use both L and R for shield/wavedash/tech inputs while they play on GCC? I could try that, but I'd like to hear how it goes from someone that already does.

Apologies if this isn't where I should be asking this.

PMBR added Light Press to the Shield buttons, so they read lighter inputs so that they could be differentiated in a way that was present in Melee. I remember a period of time where it ****ed me up (**** like air dodges and dying) You just have to learn to not keep it on the Trigger or to keep from pushing it down when doing another input.

I personally use L as my only Shield button and don't have flubs like that anymore so it's entirely possible with a bit of Discipline.

The controller plugs into a Wiimote doe
Why they couldn't just make it a Pro controller in the shape of a Cube controller...
And the downsides of wireless controllers in general, yata yata yata

Well it was very plausible and it's gonna happen sooner or later. I'll try to withhold judgement till it comes out and mess around with it then come to a conclusion but we more than likely wont get the true solid results till Apex next year if smash 4 for Wii U comes out before then. Outside of that you better converters ready just in case.

It's just stupid of Nintendo to let them go the wired to the remote route when it's annoying and more crap to carry and probably will create more connection issues than just a normal wireless controller.

It's like Nintendo just realized there is a demand for this to play multiple Smash games on the Wii U and didn't think it through much. The only reason you need a remote to play older Smashes is because there is no controller port.

Most likely they wanted to keep the cost down but it hurts the product as a result.

Gamespy said:
Why is this closure happening, then? It's a business thing, and like most business things it's not easy to explain or understand unless you spend all day crunching numbers and paying bills. Which I don't. So here's the simple version that even I can comprehend: Ziff Davis wants to run an efficient, focused company, and managing several different sites that all cover videogames isn't exactly the model of efficiency. Even though GameSpy had its own unique voice that was separate and distinct from those of our sister sites, and there has always been value in that, it's hard to argue with that logic. Even if it does totally suck.

These are the guys that provide nintendo's servers.

Bunch of other games either went down or transitioned to new servers as well.

It essentially IS a Pro controller in the shape of a GameCube controller, just with a Wii Remote attached (so it's like the classic controller pro on the original Wii).

You guys know the saying "dating your best friend is the best?" Ites pretty nice, but its also putting all your eggs in one basket, so to speak.

you'd have thought it wouldn't have taken over 3 years to realize we just weren't romantically compatible but whatevs. It was one of those relationships that both sides really want to make it work but you just end up making each other miserable.

So now I'm stuck in that awkward position where we're trying to keep the friendship alive while we both still want the relationship, but both know it just makes everything worse.

I'm single for the first time in 3 years, Project Feels thread v2, what do?

Maybe I'm unlucky but that sounds like every relationship lol.

Fighting is what drives things, keeps it interesting. No fighting, no passion, no love, it's over.

Let's just be friends is pretty much the end of everything for me unless she is like the sweetest girl ever. I want nothing to do with the crap women unleash upon you when they think they can dump all their problems onto you without all that satisfying relationship fighting and ****ing.

Another thing to consider Serve, somebody is always more at fault for being a douche in a relationship, trying to split the blame is what people do so as not to make that determination.

If your the one being the douche, you can change somewhat and try to win her back. If it's her doing it more, then you need to decide if you can put up with it or not.

ew, emotions...

Can we just talk about Pokemon again? That actually sounds productive and super fun.
Yo I need one more pokemon for a team I'm working on and I haven't played pokemon in months and haven't touched my 3ds in the same time frame as well cause breeding is a chore so I'm trying to make a team on Showdown and so far I have Mega- Gyardos, Scizor, Togekiss, Terrakion and Latios. Need help with the last member?

I'd recommend offensive SR Heatran (SR / Fire Blast / Taunt / Earth Power) to manage MG + CM Clefable (if it's running Bolt / Focus Blast / HP Ground / something dumber, then Scizor can keep it in check). Also, it might not be a bad idea to try AV Conk > Terrakion, as Mega DDTTar can become problematic if Scizor's been weakened (unless ur running SD, which isn't ideal given the offensive nature of this team), and this team doesn't appear to give a reliable pivot around Rotom-W (Latios gets ****ed by Pursuit support and isn't fond of getting burned).

I dated my best friend for a few years as well. The relationship itself was great for a couple of years, and then we had a year or so of things not working but both of us not wanting to end it: a combination of neither of us wanting to lose our best friends, and just being so accustomed to being in a relationship with each other.
Post relationship we did the whole "let's go back to being friends" thing, but we were kidding ourselves into thinking we could do that. Just being around her at a party or with other friends or w/e was incredibly awkward because I couldn't really flip a switch and go back to seeing her as just a friend, ya know? We both still had feelings for each other but knew it would just go even further south had the relationship kept going.

So we just started to talk to each other and see each other less and less. Now, maybe two years later, I see her maybe twice a year and we don't really talk aside from those times.

It's sort of sad because more than the relationship I lost who was my best friend... but I don't think we could have made the whole friends thing work. Especially once we had started dating again, I think that one was the actual last straw for us being friends. It just made things extra weird.

SR Heatran god I forgot all about that poke. And My Scizor is Choice Band while Latios is Life Orb and Terrakion is a Stealth Rock user so I'll changed that up.

you can also run SubTran and keep SR on Terrakion, but Defog + what's essentially a suicide SRer seems a bit counterproductive (but it works from my experiences; Defog early in the game for hazard control, and SR midgame to amplify offensive pressure)
