The human concept of gender, while separate from sex, is still rooted in the idea of sex - as such, a sexless species wouldn't necessarily be "one gender" so much as they would be genderless. While we perceive the gems as being entirely "female", that's more to do with coincidental parallels to our concept of female than it is with their own identity (i.e while gems may describe themselves with pronouns like she/her and as being a "woman", that doesn't necessarily mean that they're using those words in the sense that's distinctive from a male identity).

They're rocks, so they don't have a sex, but I'm fairly certain the intention is to make them a female gender (especially with the use of female pronouns). So it depends on your definition of homosexuality as between the same sex, or the same gender.

Regardless I don't think it matters. I don't try and categorize people's romantic and sexual interests. My experiences lead me to believe that sexuality is such a complex, multifacited (sometimes changing) being that doesn't need classification. One does as one wants to do.

This whole YP censorship thing is stupid when you realize that the twitch chat for any fighting game(this includes smash at times too) is significantly more lewd than the name itself.
Last night I was in a twitch chat for a fighting game and discussion eventually went to someone(I'm not naming names)
talking about licking butts, doing (Player name withheld because of reasons) in the butt, and anal shenanigans and jokes in general.

These are on duty soldiers though on an alien world. It's one thing to work on things in the temple where you're safe but there are too many episodes to count where Amethyst and Pearl break down in the middle of a mission. And a child like Steven has to motivate them. They're just not the kind of people you want in your unit.

They say at one point that the gem's humanoid bodies are illusions but they clearly exist for the sake of communicating with each other hence they are an effective extension of the gems themselves; that their extensions should be coincidentally human females is mostly the stuff of fantasy, guess that's why it's a cartoon

GimR honestly thinks he can make a Twitch chat a family-friendly place? Well, maybe not. He lets innuendo and sex jokes slide all the time--thought that might just be us mods not doing what we're expected to. Failure in communication on his part if so.

He's betting all the families who don't want naughty words / ideas that watch his stream will turn off Twitch chat and just watch the tourney.
Honestly, if a significant portion of his audience were so, I'd have no problem with his policies.
But let's call it naive, because they're likely such a minority that it really doesn't matter, and that's not likely to change even if he continues enforcing the esports mentality.

I implied it earlier, but it should be said that GimR's stream is his ownership.
Now, if GimR doesn't have sovereignty over the setup, he can simply not stream the matches he doesn't want people to see because of a tag. Or, the players could demand the TO put them at a different setup, and they'd be justified since it's not fully the venue's if GimR has that autonomy. It goes without saying that it's not right to force people to change their tags unless a contract was made to abide by tag policy, it's equally not right to force a streamer to stream things he doesn't want to unless the contract arbitrates against him, no matter how dumb his discrimination is.

All this could have been cleared up through prior understanding and proper contract creation, though. They should have discussed it so things would run smoothly, whatever the outcome. But I actually have no idea what happened.
