Umm sorry to nitpick from 2-3 pages later but grabs are 50-50 in Caliber and are high so you can duck or twitch duck to avoid them or use a move that auto ducks highs to beat them. Back throws are guarenteed expect for Voldo astaroth and Zwei who which is a 50-50 guess. Astaroth has grabs specifically to beat crouching opponents. On the grabbing side of the spectrum if you know they gonna dude you start hitting them with mids then you can mixing them up from there cause of fear.

Competitive soul caliber player random knowledge drop.

On throw techs though its whatever though i talked about this with smash back when brawl was still played to help with chaingrab stuff.
Doing the same thing about the 2-3 pages thing.

This is the kind of post I like to see. I love Soul Calibur and think it's a great game. This type of thing being explained to me gives me a greater respect to the game.

Mostly my initial comment was in regards to the window of being able to break out of a grab. I feel like breaking out of grab is really easy to do on-reaction, and that's if you even land it in the first place. There are specific characters that have the guaranteeds and stuff, but I'm mostly referring to the point of getting the animation of your character hitting the grab, hearing your opponent mash buttons, and get out of the grab in what feels like half a second after inputting it. Street Fighter I'm fine with because the window's a lot smaller for that (someone feel free to correct me on that).

...also I've been talking about Soul Calibur II this whole time I don't know if this changes anything subjectwise

All I wanna do these days is sit back and listen to the jazzy tunes, motivation to do anything else is completely gone...

Well my mom was making a big deal about me needing a week to prepare to move out, and I think that anything more than 3 days is overkill anyway and my dad made a reasonable deal with letting me spend some of his visitation getting ready if I asked him. My mom said it was cool then changed her mind, so she desperately needs that week to prepare me in her mind.

My mom and stepdad just talked to me for about an hour, gave back my phone from the watching SC2 videos at 2am thing, and basically told me they are going to use that week before I go to school to buy me a bunch of shiny new stuff.

But they also offered my dad 2 weeks of visitation (so I can do an internship where he works under one of their IP/Patent lawyers) in exchange for that one week.

TL;DR: Mom rejects reasonable solution, creates her own reasonable solution, dad rejects, I'm probably not going to do an internship this summer, literally nobody got what they wanted.
I also am Satan b/c I now am on my mom's side maybe because Shiny Things, yes. In reality they are both super cancerous b/c literally either solution would have worked, but maybe my mom's a bit better b/c I could work the internship longer and I'm compelled by the Shiny New.

Robots suk. I want to be the lovechild of Bleck and Softie, a new breed of ****poster.
If I could stay consistent with shine grabs and pillar properly with CRT practice, this wouldn't have happened. The Sheik life chose me.

Sheik's inherit edgyness is consuming me.
That all sounds super unfun : (
I bought Hyrule Warriors to play with a friend and he bailed halfway through the game :(

Someone come play Hyrule Warriors with me.
Can we double dorf in hyrule warriors?

Should I be making myself learn to DACUS with the C stick or can I use the A Button? All the tutorials I see are with the C stick, and I'm wondering if it's for instant dash attacks?

That's not so bad.
I like doing that.
Keeps me fresh.

Otherwise, go have more fun with items on or something. FFAs in box stages etcetc IF YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN
Nah, Smash is the least fun for me to play casually now. If I'm tired of Smash I definitely want to play something different. FFA Smash is just mindless torment. It was hell when I went to a casual friend's house long ago and his HDTV was one of the laggiest ones, it was so much better when we switched to Mario Party.

How do you guys decide whether you will watch something subbed or dubbed?
Can you read basic english ? If yes subbed, if not dubbed.
Only a very little fraction of all media has a satifying translation, and when it's done right you get to know about it. So unless people are actively recommending you to watch a dubbed then subbed is the way to go.

On Soul Calibur 2 it still applies all you need is some lows and grabs and a mid and you have a basic mix up game actually all 3d games such as tekken, DOA and VF are like this but the rules on grab breaking are different with each one but in all of them they are universally high. In Calibur they are 50-50 but stage positioning can tell you what grabs they are going for usually like for example if your back is to the ring edge against a Raphael player and they want to ring you out break B throws or against a Ivy player and if the player back is toward the ring edge they wanna use a A throw which is her ring out throw where she throws you behind her. If they know this though they can instead use the other throw and get a free grab if you break the obvious throw and some characters can setup 50-50 even more with grab situations and characters with command grabs are more annoying cause command grabs are harder to break and Ivy has one of the best command grabs in the game and players that are good with changing hide her inputs in her movement so if you dont break it thats a free 1/3 or 1/4 off a grab but with command grabs though they are assigned to one button so you only have to press that button to break that command grab but Ivy had 2 of them so your guessing even more and if you start ducking to avoid them they can start throwing mids in there.

As for reaction guard breaking if you got crack head reflexes and a good grasp on the game and positioning you can break outta grabs a decent amount but your not gonna break everything and in Soul Calibur 2 you can guard impact grabs since they are high and forward GI beats highs and mids while back GI or GI repel beats mids and lows but during those windows of the GI repel who is on the receiving end of GI you can GI right back and succeed so as long you gi the correct move and time it right but gi does not beat unlockables attacks.

Edit: Here's a system tutorial on Aris if your move curious about the Soul Calibur 2 system.

I ordered a new PSU to replace my old, dead one. Turns out my old one also has stripped screws (seriously, **** pre-builts lol) and I can't unscrew it from the case. This is my temporary solution:

So I've been called in for a job interview at Kohl's today at 5:30PM Central Time and the first thing they told me on the phone is that they think it's awesome that first name is the exact same as their store cause they've never seen that before. ¦D

Clearly, I was born for this day. ¦(

If they're really badly stripped you can melt plastic and jam it in to mold a screw driver

So yeah my laptop i thought died and/or crashed and stopped turning off turns out it was my charger that I had been using with it since I bought the computer and I bought a new one off of Amazon and it works just fine. Had me scared outta my pants now time to re look at some anime, articles, play some ROM's and look at some dirty material but first I need to back up my files.

I thought you attached a GameCube to your PC for a moment and was very concerned for the human race

A Meta Knight amiibo I bought hasn't updated on the USPS tracker since June 4th.
