So, one of my friends said he'd main Roy in Melee if I mained Falcon in PM. I got the good side of it, so I accepted.

So I'm a Falcon main now.

ive had a rough past 2 days
2 days ago i heard elsword was gonna be updated on wedsnday, new level cap and **** like that
>rushes to computer
>goes up ten levels
just when i was gonna go for my final stride, that final ten, thunderstorm hits my area.
lightning and wind cuts the power to my house.
its out all day, and just when im about to cry myself to sleep, power goes back on
and now this is the final day before the update, and i need to climb ten levels before it hits or all my work goes to waste
my hopes and dreams ride on a single act of vengence, for those who have fallen, for those who are too lazy to level up
i simply ask you all a favor

Yoshi's Story is amazing. It keeps battles moving quickly and doesn't allow for people to back off and camp, making it an important counterpick. Also, the bright palette is a nice change from most of Brawl's stages.
Bringing this and FoD back was an excellent move(also, I still laugh at people who complain about Fountain).

So I ordered a used evo monitor, and it was advertised as not having a mount (assumed it meant wall mount). It comes today, without the base stand >.>

Guess I'll look for one or figure something out to keep it up that looks nice. Anyone have a broken Asus monitor and would be okay with sending me the stand?

The thread has a point? Reading Melee guides and playing Melee does help me understand things better when I come back to PM. It's a far more explored game with similar mechanics-why not use it as a reference when getting better at PM?

You take that back. Chicken noodle soup is amazing.

@Player -0 I just noticed your sig now contains my Math quote. I'm..flattered, I guess? A piece of my sub-par snark is now preserved. Until you find something else to put in your sig, I suppose.

I just don't like the idea of needing to explore an entirely different game with worse pretty much everything just to get good at my favorite game. I'd rather practice and get good *there* than in something I don't enjoy.

Came off as kinda defensive/jerkish tho, my b

No, I definitely understand your point. However, I feel like there's not as much depth to the guides available for PM..or perhaps they simply aren't advertised as heavily. Compare to Melee, where guides are written down to framedata and DI possibilities, among other things. I think a central repository for PM knowledge and guides would go a long way towards fixing that gap. Right now though, there are just more resources readily available for Melee.

In addition, since the game's been out longer, you're more likely to find better players are any level of play, meaning you can more readily see your own flaws from what's happened. This is further helped by the general lack of viable characters-you know what each character's options are, and it's easier to remember them all, so you get a better idea of why you lost(poor spacing, lack of good movement, wrong DI, etc). For me at least, I can take this knowledge and better apply it to my PM play.

You can definitely learn this by playing more PM, but in most places, Melee is still a dominant game or at least has players who have been playing longer-and those players are usually the best to learn from, in an environment where they can clearly demonstrate what skills you lack. PM is similar enough to Melee that this is a good learning experience even if you don't play Melee as much.

I got a paper that's due tomorrow that's worth 40% of my grade and I'm only finishing it tonight with revision taking place all morning.

Procrastination...Ain't it grand?

To question Reddit or the internet in general is to give in to your sanity. Sometimes it is simply better to recollect yourself as you realize there was never a good reason for the **** on here anyway. Just roll with it yo.
Burn that from my eyes.
